Summary: We purchased this scanner for one purpose, to archive our photo & image collections. It worked great -- right out of the box -- we had kids scanning prints to the SD Card then archiving them on the computer and on CDs. Note, at $50.oo this is not a high-end scanner, but it is great for our purpose!
Summary: I purchased this unit for a very specific reason. I have thousands of old photos that probably would not benefit from a high res scan since they do not look all that great as pictures. Many are of family and pets and thus I would like to keep them and display them using my digital frame.
Summary: This is great for doing 300dpi scans. It is so fast and quicker - much faster than placing photos in a desktop scanner. I have been impressed with the results and can easily sit and scan hundreds of photos (up to a 4x6 size) while watching tv. The quality is great.
Summary: I got so tired of using my flatbed scanner to back up the thousands of photos that I had laying around that I had to find something more effective and this was the ticket! I purchased the scanner and while watching a couple movies I scanned over 2000 photos.
false claim of 300 dpi resolution and other issues

Summary: This will make a digital copy quickly but at drastically reduced quality. The claims of "up to 1800x1200 @4x6 photo scanned" and "optical 300x300 dpi" are misleading and false. I scanned the same 6 photos on my aged HP scanner at its 300 dpi setting to compare.
Summary: I read many reviews on scanners. I want to scan all my pictures (many thousands) and my parents very old black and whites. I read the reviews on this one and most were good so decided to try it. It works, ok. Some pictures are great and some need work afterwards.
Summary: I love this little scanner for the one reason I ordered it - to scan lots of old photos for upload to facebook. Scanning is very fast - a few seconds for each photo. The quality is good for viewing but not as good as my less expensive, flatbed scanner.
Summary: This product is as easy to use as the description states. I only had to use the plastic sleeve if the photos were old, wrinkled, tore or anything else that would prevent them from scanning smoothly. I was able to scan over 100 photos in a little over an hour.
Summary: Pros: Completely easy to use, although a little time consuming. It's nice to have the photo protector included in the scanner, so that it flattens any photo that is turning up. Works great, and I plan on scanning more photos while sitting in front of the TV tonight!!
