I FOUND A WAY TO MAKE IT WORK WITH SNOW LEOPARD!!!

Summary: I don't know what's wrong with Mustek, but their own page that I Googled, did NOT have any software that would make this Scanner work with Snow Leopard. I found this on one of many Blog sites, and it worked!
Summary: Perfect for what I needed. I draw my comic pages on 11 x 17 blue line pro paper, so I needed a large format scanner. I was concerned about the cheapness of it when I originally bought this scanner, but it has been such a trooper. It's very light-weight (the footprint is deceiving).
Summary: Wow. I loooooove this scanner. Im a cartoonist and I think this is the absolute best scanner ive ever owned. But, BUYER BEWARE! If you are getting this product for an artistic reason, Id like to warn you to use other software. The software does not use the scanner to its maximum capability.
Summary: I bought this item when I was primarily a Windows user. Large flat bed scanners were and still are out of reach for home use. As an artist it's just easier to create on a larger piece of paper than it is on a smaller one and then try to stitch the scanned photos together using Photoshop.
Summary: If you learn one thing from my review, please let it be to never purchase anything from this seller, ANTOnline. Just so more people will not make the same mistake as I and others did, here is the claim I filed with Amazon: The scanner did not work upon setup.
Summary: As all the other reviewers have covered, the Mustek 1200 Pro is the only large format scanner you can find for this price point. I have used it for over two years at work with great success, and just purchased a second one to have at home for my own projects.
Summary: So I read lots of the 'bad' here but decided to go ahead and jump in anyway. I ordered the Mustek A3 1200 Pro for my MacBook to replace/enhance my Canon LiDE 210. I got tired of scanning each page twice, then merging them together, adjusting alignment etc.
Summary: I had trouble, initially, installing the driver. I tried installing, then doing a repair install... nothing. Each time I would reboot when they told me to, and then plug in the scanner, and it would come up with USB2.0 Scanner install software.
Summary: It's true that it has a very shallow depth of field, and in order to get a clean image from a book with a stiff binding, I have to apply a good deal of pressure. However, considering that Epson's large format scanner costs $2300 or so, it's of no significance at all.
Summary: I am a professional illustrator and like most of you, I was in need of an affordable, reliable A3 sized scanner as most print work is done digitally today. The Mustek ScanExpress A3 1200 Pro USB was a very attractive option for me.
