I FOUND A WAY TO MAKE IT WORK WITH SNOW LEOPARD!!!

Summary: I don't know what's wrong with Mustek, but their own page that I Googled, did NOT have any software that would make this Scanner work with Snow Leopard. I found this on one of many Blog sites, and it worked! Go to this page, enter the Model Number, and download the Driver AND the Image Aquire Software. Then it will work with Snow Leopard...
Summary: Perfect for what I needed. I draw my comic pages on 11 x 17 blue line pro paper, so I needed a large format scanner. I was concerned about the cheapness of it when I originally bought this scanner, but it has been such a trooper. It's very light-weight (the footprint is deceiving). It has very few moving parts so there is not a lot to go wrong. I had my first Mustek A3 scanner for 4 years.
Summary: The Mustek BerPaw 2400 Flatbed Scanner is perfect for those who needs a larger format scanner at a cheaper price. (most of the scanners we have only print up to A3 size paper). The Mustek lets you scan much larger than that.
Summary: I love this scanner! I bought it to copy old (larger) manuscripts. It is big enough to copy large (11x17) pages and the operating program makes it easy to rotate and crop. Software (included) senses when the cover goes up and the work info automatically shows up on your computer screen. It does everything I needed and more.
It performed up to my expectations, but I not a professional in printing.

Summary: I bought it for scanning a large long out of print German book on WWI. The Mustek 2400 has a wide range of scanning settings and I was pleased with the scans I made. The only problem I encountered was an error code and it stopped scanning. I unplugged it for a few minutes and started again. I made 3 or 4 more scans and it error coded again.
Summary: Wow. I loooooove this scanner. Im a cartoonist and I think this is the absolute best scanner ive ever owned. But, BUYER BEWARE! If you are getting this product for an artistic reason, Id like to warn you to use other software. The software does not use the scanner to its maximum capability. I used photoshop elements 8, but the free program called paint.net will work as well.
Summary: I bought this item when I was primarily a Windows user. Large flat bed scanners were and still are out of reach for home use. As an artist it's just easier to create on a larger piece of paper than it is on a smaller one and then try to stitch the scanned photos together using Photoshop. I think I got this scanner to work once or twice but after many tries and having it sit around for many months I had to throw it out. It would have been great but into oblivion it went.
Summary: If you learn one thing from my review, please let it be to never purchase anything from this seller, ANTOnline. Just so more people will not make the same mistake as I and others did, here is the claim I filed with Amazon: The scanner did not work upon setup. I contacted Mustek technical support and they were unable to help me resolve the issue. Mustek suspected it was a carriage issue and that the scanner would need to be sent in for repair.
Summary: As all the other reviewers have covered, the Mustek 1200 Pro is the only large format scanner you can find for this price point. I have used it for over two years at work with great success, and just purchased a second one to have at home for my own projects. I can't really speak to color accuracy except to say that, even with a $3000 scanner setup, I have never been able to avoid adjusting colors somewhat with any scanner.
Summary: So I read lots of the 'bad' here but decided to go ahead and jump in anyway. I ordered the Mustek A3 1200 Pro for my MacBook to replace/enhance my Canon LiDE 210. I got tired of scanning each page twice, then merging them together, adjusting alignment etc. I ordered it Feb 22, 2012 and received it Feb 24, 2012! Talk about speed and the shipping was $8 not a bad price for an A3 sized scanner.
