Summary: It scanned no better than my old 300 dpi scanner, even when set at 1200dpi and with me scanning back and forth many times. It seems that the software included is improved over older software, but there is still room for improvement. It is a great idea, and will probably become a great product . . .
Okay scanner for flat 8.5 x 11 sheets... for larger thick books, forget it.

Summary: I bought this scanner because I wanted to scan book pages from recipe books, music books, etc., some sizes larger than an 8.5 x 11. I found that scanning books with smaller (.5) margins were impossible to scan without some excessive work at keeping the sensor on the page and any shift in position...
Not user friendly, waist of time, a normal scanner is much easier to use.

Summary: I would not recommend this scanner. The papers and pictures that I attempted to scan had to be held perfectly still which does not happen when you run the mouse over the paper to be scanned. Too many errors in the scan. A normal scanner is much better. Don't waist your money of time.
Summary: Mouse was not as easy to use or as comfortable as old one. Scanner was not easy to use, especially at the edges of the documents.. Picture scanning was not very good (image). User manual was extremely large, most of it in languages other than english, and one of the WORST, least helpful user manuals...
Summary: I found that the siftware for the handheld scanner tended to slow down my computer, and I have now removed it from the hard disc. Consequently, I now only uise the scanner on rare occasions, as I have to relaod every time I want to scan with it, then take the software off again when I'm finished.
Summary: It works very well if you want to scan a page. It is quite portable and easily used. I had issues scanning books which I took to be its strong point. Due to the centre fold once the scanner looses contact with the page your scan is useless.
Summary: <Edit: the bllow was my intial take: after a month or two, I almost never use it: scanned items must be utter flat, not move, the wire is a nightmare, loosing aligment mid-scan is continual If you want to scan a paragraph or a small picture: fine. For anything else - not the tool for the job.
