Summary: I will say from the outset that I do not like their software, and so I scrapped it and use Abbyy FineReader OCR which is a fantastic program (I like it a lot more than Nuance OmniPage). So I will move on from here. I'm used to paper jamming in printers, scanners, etc. This thing never jams, never. I clean it with a damp cloth ever couple of thousand pages and it performs flawlessly.
Summary: Just a fantastic piece of equipment. I'm used to printers, scanners, etc., jamming. Not this thing. I'm run countless types of paper through it (100 year old paper, or paper printed in the last year) and varying sizes and it handles them very well.
Pros: Consistent, high throughput; no paper jams - none; high quality scan.
Summary: I usually buy Xerox documate. No longer. I read several reviews for various scanners, and this scanner was rated highly by most of the reviews. I add my recommendation for this scanner. I was able to get a non-computer person to use the scanner in about 10 minutes.
Summary: This scanner produces high quality results and works without jamming in most circumstances. The included software allows the user to adjust the settings to get the best image possible. Hard card scanning works well. This scanner also processes mixed thicknesses of paper without having to sort and separate. The footprint of this machine is small enough to fit on a desktop, but the speed of this machine makes very capable for a multi-user work group.
Summary: I am a big fan for digitizing documents for archiving. I have been doing so for more than 10 years. On hardware part, I have used several consumer level scanners from Brothers and Canon. On software part, I use PaperPort pro software to control scanners and also for post-scanning document editing purpose. The biggest problem of consumer level scanner is "SLOW". I am very happy to try out this i2600 business class scanner.
Speed, accuracy and throughput make it perfect for small office environments provided that tech support is not relied upon

Summary: This is plain and simple an office scanner that is ideal under the right circumstances. This scanner is right for a doctor's office that handles several doctors, to give one example. Flatbed scanner accessory - Forget it. The idea is if you have one page to scan and don't trust this scanner to line it up correctly, you can get the flatbed. But take it from me, nobody does that anymore.
Right combination of 1) durability, 2) high-performance, and 3) user-friendliness.

Summary: I have purchased the Kodak i2600 scanner from Amazon, and within 100 days I have scanned more than 300,000 sheets (more than 600,000 double-sided pages). Thus I have finished digitizing most of the documents accumulated during the last 32 years, and I have attained my goal. This instrument has the right combination of 1) durability, 2) high-performance, and 3) user-friendliness.
Summary: Amazingly fast scanner perfect for the small office, Image qaulity in Colour is just like a photo. Handles most paper from recipts to A4 paper straight through the feeder. USB plug in and easy to install makes this a perfect purchase.
