Summary: I am not a business and scanning documents is not my main concern. As with many middle aged people, much of my life was documented in photographs that used film. With technology today, everything is digitized and the cheap price of various portable storage devices and media makes it cheap and easy to back up digital photos.
Nice looking scanner, but be sure to check the specifications to make sure it can be installed on your computer

Summary: Very nice looking scanner! This scanner has a nice small footprint and looks good on my desk. More importantly, the Kodak i2600 has drivers for Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. It has drivers for Ubuntu, Fedora, RedHat and SUSE. It however does not have drivers for Mac OS-X, which is what the computer I wanted to install it on. I somehow missed that when I read the description. Be sure to check the specifications before ordering.
Summary: I works beyond expections. I purchased two of them. I have had some trouble getting them to hold onto default settings but am working on that. They don't necessarily work well with other scanning software but seem to work great with the Kodak software.
Summary: EXTREMELY FAST scanning - a double-sided document in 1 second! Blink ... it's done!! Your document goes through it like a taco from Taco Bell goes through your body ...immediately! Hell, just throw the taco in the toilet right after you buy it bc that's where it will end up in 5 minutes. Sorry for digressing.
Great scanner, software so-so, tech support is bad.

Summary: Purchased this scanner to replace an aging Visioneer scanner that I used for the office. The Visioneer has a 1000 page daily duty cycle, so I figure that Kodak's 4000 pages is a good size upgrade. Compared to the Visioneer Strobe XP450, this one is a night and day difference... It had better be, knowing the price is about 50% more. Scanner scans papers super fast... 150dpi color pdf takes about two seconds.
