Summary: I bought this device several years ago, and it worked (just about) adequately under XP. At that time I didn't use Outlook, and it wasn't that easy to get the contact information out of the software and into a useful format without it.
Summary: I am not impressed with this item, it has proved to be more a hinderance than asset. Firstly, on installation, I was conned into paying £28 to download the 'required' software. This proved to be a virus which disabled all USB ports. Laptop had to be taken for repair.
Summary: I have accumulated masses of cards at work and was going to buy another folder but decided to scan the cards in. Once I received the device and installed the software I was amazed at how quickly and accurately this device worked.
Summary: Excellent product - when received as paid for Express delivery but product did not arrive. Advised sent by Royal Mail first class post which I suggest is not express. Was then advised sent by Recorded Delivery and arrived promptly. Optical recognition somewhat suspect at times.
Summary: The OCR is worse than hopeless. would be better if it recognised nothing, so you could just scan the card and not need to overwrite the gibberish it places in apparently random fields. The odd card works, so I know the device is at least functioning.
Summary: If you are in business and attend networking events or even if you want to keep your clients details in order this is a first class product. It scans in details from your cards and files them into a mini database.
