Summary: Drawing is difficult with this pen.only one size ball point pen size.med 0.6 or 0.7 med pt. its neat to see what you draw appear on your iphone/ipad.it does what it says. That said, its not that great. The physical pen is thinny and boring and hard to use. Because the pen is non grip formed. No tapered tip for fingers to grasp. It just doesn't feel right. Ii returned mine.
Summary: The unit works just OK. Has a difficult time with certain typestyles and numbers. Had to contact manufacturer's tech support twice. Even though they are just 25 miles north of my office, you can never get anyone to answer the phone, just e-mail and that may take days to resolve.
Summary: I received my pen by mail late this afternoon. During the evening, while watching TV, I played around with the pen. Having read reviews here, I expected it to be difficult to use the pen at first but had no problem using the pen to scan. After a couple tries, I realized you have to line up the arrow and press straight and hard enough so the light stays on. I purchased this to enter info from receipts for tax purposes for my business.
Beautiful and useful, but the advertisement is misleading

Summary: The pen is beautiful, elegant, and it reads what you write. The advertisement was misleading, because you would think that you would be able to see your writing in the computer as you write, and that is not true. For starters, you have to have it unplugged from the computer in order to use it. After that, you need to write, finish writing and pulse a button. Only then you are allowed to plug in the receiver into the computer and download what you just wrote.
Summary: I had high hopes after reading the several favorable reviews. Unfortunately, after several attempts at training the software to recognize my admittedly ugly handwriting, the accuracy rate is disappointingly low. Another minor shortcoming is the reader clip does not open wide enough to attach to a standard yellow legal pad. As a result one is forced to tear out several pages at a time before commencing taking notes.
Summary: I found the orignal Iris Pen II under Windows 2000 far superior to the Iris Pen Executive under Microsoft XP. Both the Iris Pen II and this new design does not integrate as well with Microsoft XP. Aligning the executive type pen with the text is far more difficult than with the II-type pen. The device does function and is faster than typing. However, the performance of the product has degraded under the XP operating system.
Summary: I purchased this pen to help with Translating some books. If you use German you should have no problem but if you use Russian you will have to switch back and forth between Windows Language settings which can be annoying. In my opinion when the pen is connected to Your computer Via the USB port the Drivers should be aware that the System is a US English computer and do the conversion without changing Language settings within Windows.
