Received a defective unit.

Summary: Order 1 unit from Amazon, received a defective unit. Communicate with IRIS directly for replacement, they ask me pay for the return unit postage to Belgium. Plus, after their technical team verify the defective unit, only will ship a new unit out to me. I decided to perform RMA with Amazon.
Summary: I have yet to get this pen to scan one complete, readable sentence and believe me I have tried. I tried calibrating it on different shades of white paper to see if that helped but to no avail. The only thing it would scan reasonably well was the instruction booklet that came with the pen. Go figure!
Summary: I purchased this last summer 2008 - thinking it would be a great help in college. But it does not scan from textbooks. True it will scan from paper (after you learn how) but I needed & wanted to scan items from my textbooks. Would not work.

Summary: Iris is nearly impossible to get a hold of so don't expect anything in the way of support. We purchased this item because Iris was offering a "rebate". After months of waiting and trying to contact the company-the rebate never happened.

Summary: I'm trying to use the product for typed documentation. It is not accurate. The disc I received failed. I utilized the help desk repeatedly. They provided me with an updated version. It still doesn't work well at all. I planned to return it but seem to have missed it by a day.
