Never worked properly

  • Summary: This unit was a joke. The scan was slow, it needed an update when I got it, and then the file was so difficult to export to other computers, I gave up.

  • Summary: You have to update the software at an additional cost to really use the product. Would be better to sell a total package instead of trying to keep cost down an dthen saying you need more.

  • Summary: This does not work as advertised. I bought this thinking I needed to have some way to file all of the cards that I have. After buying it I didn't begin to use it for 8 months and just now tried to use it. The scanner wouldn't even scan the cards and when trying to get help on line, there is no phone support available and no way to contact a real person at iris. Beware of this product and stay away from it. I also couldn't load it on my two mac's.

Not waht I expected

  • Summary: I was looking for a business card scanner to use at a business show. The first obstacle was the CD software that came with the scanner was outdated. The second thing when I went on to the website it was not straightforward on what to load. It was cumbersome to use, slow, and not efficient. This is after I got someone else to download it on to their computer. I will return it.

  • Summary: It only took a few minutes to enter the two stacks of cards I had. It is easy to learn I did not read the instruction and was able to sort the cards into the proper locations.

What a waste of time

  • Summary: The product shipped immediately and arrived in perfect condition. Amazon, you rock! After installing the scanner, it was not recognized by my new PC running Windows 7. Tried updating the driver, but that wasn't the problem. The software does not recognize the scanner. It defaults to my flatbed scanner and there is NO way to correct. Then I tried contacting IRIS for technical assistance. There is none!

  • Summary: Software looks like it was made in th 90's if you unplug it from your pc you have to reformat the scanner. Every time! the scan doenst work 50% of the time so you have to manually put in the info when the scan does work it puts the info in the wrong blanks, so you have to go back and rewrite it if you buy a new computer the card reader will tell you that you need a update, and the only way to get it is to buy the update.

Not the ideal product

  • Summary: I have bought this item as i have more than 300 cards to scan. It was highly recommended by the sales agent at the electronic store. To make the unit working is so simple. Win7 can detect it perfectly. the software installation went quite well. The scanning speed of the unit is not bad. what is is really bad is the accuracy of the detection of the fields in the cards. I had to retype most of the cards i scanned.

Functional, but not great

  • Summary: I had a hard time getting this installed (about a year ago) because I needed to patch it (even for Windows) and the instructions and website were not very helpful. While I did eventually get it working, it does not work WELL, and its claims of high accuracy are way overblown. Some of the time it doesn't catch some of the info on the card, or it misinterprets the info, or it just flat-out can't read most of it (like on high color cards with flashy logos....

  • Summary: I was not impressed. It did not do the card scan well and did not like the way info was stored. Thus, returned the product for a full refund.
