Summary: In spite of stated compatibility with Windows XP, after installing the software there was a conflict with my network cards which prevented me from accessing my network. After uninstalling the scanner, the network card problem was resolved. The installation instructions supplied with the scanner state that during installation a window will open which says something about the driver is not verified, but the instructions say to "continue anyway".
Works Great out of the box. Next time, not so much

Summary: This would be a great product, except... First, I like the compact size. It is small enough and sturdy enough to fit in a briefcase. Handy for the type of person constantly collecting business cards. It does use USB A on both sides of the USB cable, so you are stuck having to carry yet another cable with you all the time. It requires a special (flimsy) calibration card upon every new session, so make sure you keep that card in your pack of cards.
Summary: I bought the iriscard mini because I was looking for a way to keep all my business cards and contacts organized. At the end of the month, I always had a pile of business cards racked up from the various trade shows and conferences I attended that month. The iriscard mini helped me transfer all those contacts eliminating my stack of business cards.
Summary: I've been looking for a small compact card scanner to use in our dental office to scan insurance cards and the like. This scanner appeared to have the right combination of features and price for me to go ahead and order it. I'm very sorry I did, because it definitely does not meet my expectations. First the good things: The scanner is definitely small, but doesn't feel flimsy. It's heavy enough to stay in place on the desk. It doesn't feel obviously cheap or anything.
This version no longer produced nor supported by company for software or help - not since 2008

Summary: One of the most ridiculous purchase decisions I've ever made, honey......You cannot get this old outdated product to work on your computer at all. The manufacturer has not made this version since 2008 and they no longer support this version as of 2 years ago......and no software available for you to try yourself.....
Summary: I spent far more time typing in corrections than it would have taken to just type it in the first time. It failed to correctly read a variety of different cards. Sent it back. My cell phone works much better and faster with a free app!
Old technology, seems like it was made 5 years ago

Summary: Although I got this to work with Windows 7, it was a mess. Had to download new drivers, and then figure out the included program. The program is last generation, it's not intuitive nor user friendly, and the scanner itself is slow.
Conclusion: I bought the iriscard mini because I was looking for a way to keep all my business cards and contacts organized. At the end of the month, I always had a pile of business cards racked up from the various trade shows and conferences I attended that month. The iriscard mini helped me transfer all those contacts eliminating my stack of business cards.
