Summary: This is good for a family to copy from slides, negatives of 35 millimeter, and pictures that are not 8"X11", but smaller sizes. Once it copies to the Sim Card, you can transfer to your PC or Mac easily. To make higher quality copies you must purchase a much higher priced machine.
Excerpt: I've had old negatives for a while which are difficult to get scanned for a reasonable price. I just wanted to scan them for posterity's sake. Not to scan stuff for a gallery exhibition but good enough for old family photos. This is a super simple scanner. Anyone could use it and it does a fine job. If I had to knock it for anything it's that I wish it would connect directly to my computer to scan through Photoshop as opposed to scanning to the SD card.
Excerpt: Bought this image converter to take care of my slides from years ago. At first it was a little stiff to slide the frames thru the machine , but after a few time it slid right thru. Works great with slides. I might add it takes negatives and photo .Great machine , one feature that really is great, you can do this without a PC which means you can use a large table to work with your slides . I am we'll pleased. Delivery was fast packaging was great as usual.
Excerpt: I use instant film (fuji FP100) for business and I needed to create duplicates for my website. The scan proved to be unusable because of a massive reflection of that machine on the image's surface. This particular type of film is pretty glossy and I have not used anything else.I have also not used the slide function. The interface was easy to navagate and I enjoyed the fact that you could use a memory card until you wanted to upload onto your computer.
