Very disappointed.Too slow to convert negatives..didn't even get to my pics

Summary: Thought this would be the answer to help me convert all my negatives and old photos onto a jumpdrive. This is NOT the answer! The software is poor and continually freezes up. I was using it on my older computer designated only for pictures and runs XP. Tried it on my laptop with Vista and then my new computer with 7 and still had the same poor results...it is slow between scans and continually FREEZES UP! I do not have the time to sit around waiting.
Summary: I orderd this product with much apprehention... the first afternoon that I had this scanner I processed over 400 slides that were 40 - 50 years old and they turned out great. What a relief to know that I can now ensure my many memories that were deteriorating as slides. Thank You I would certainly tell others to buy it.
Summary: It is cumbersome and totally manual...it would take "forever" to scan slides or negatives. I would not recommend this product. Additionally, there is a 20% re-stocking fee to return the item which must be returned in the original packaging, at your expense (less the 20% restocking fee) and in a traceable manner. So my almost $80 purchase ended up being closer to $100 when you consider the return postage and punishment for returning the item...and I ended up with NOTHING!
excellent product and very good value for the money.

Summary: This is a very good scanner that performs well on negetives, slides and prints. It is simple and easy to use. Sometimes we noticed a slight shift of focus shortly after inserting a slide, I believe this is due to temperature change when the slide is exposed to the illumination lamp. The machine quickly readjusts the focus so it is not really a problem. I highly recommend this to everyone that wants to transfer negatives, slides and photos to their PC.
Works, but could be much better, still gets the job done in small amounts.

Summary: I bought it to scan my grandma's slides. It works very well for doing that and it also does pictures very well. A few problems I have with it though are that it is time consuming and feels cheap. The software is good but could be better and sometimes it freezes and has glitches. I would not recommend it at all for scanning more than one tray of slides a day.
Summary: It works ok but the exposure sometimes changes and is confuseing as to when to accept the scan.I bought this product to be able to use my okd 35mm slides and it does that well. For it's price it compares well but quality suffers.
