Summary: I am preferable to HP scanners/printers, and overall this scanner works well. They tray does come off a little more often than I'd like, and you have to make sure the paper is fed just right or else it will scan from the flatbed.
Excerpt: HP Scanner was NOT doubled-boxed. Scanner Feed Ramp came loose from packing tape and knocked around scanner feed area causing marring, scratching and nick damage. Despite this rough handling, unit seems to work well. Not a good impression on me.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Excellent Software, Great Interface
Summary: I only purchased this scanner for the ADF. I have other specialized scanners for photos, and another for 35mm slides and negatives. After having this propblem, I looked up the issue an sure enough, there are MANY people unhappy with this scanner all the way back to 2009! Why oh why did I buy this?!?
Pros: It gives you an ADF and a flatbed all in one. The option to load ONLY the drive and not all the other software is great. The system plugged right up out of the box and I was scanning to Acrobat 8.0 pro in minutes.
Cons: I didn't load any of the software becuase I scan straight to Acrobat 8 Pro. The WIA driver is horrible! The software will only come up every other time. The TWAIN driver is the only way to scan with the ADF and even then the default is set to a legal (8.5 x 14) sheet. The only way to change it is...
Summary: Comments about HP Scanjet N6310 Document Sheetfed Scanner: I use it to scan documents like contracts which have many pages. Perfect for that, but I have been unable to connect this (in some way) to my network so I can access it wirelessly. But the price was right.
Pros: Accurate Color, Easy Setup, Excellent Software, Good Bit Depth, Good Resolution, Widely Compatible
