  • Summary: Bought used one for under $40. What you expect? It can scan negatives! PROS - Can scan native films CONS - can scan two negatives at one time. Files are way too big. Not good quality. Would not recommend to any one.

Very good all in one Scanner

Sam "Scalion", Amazon

  • Summary: I am very happy with the purchase. It produces excellent clarity images and comes with a great software to match it. The body is slim unlike any other cannon scanners with slide facility. Produces very good film scanned images. The buttons at front are very useful, especially the PDF one that produces a PDF document out of the scan. If you use scanner often and occusanionally use the film scanner than this is the best i have seen.

  • Summary: This is a work-horse of a scanner. I looked for this particular model to replace the same scanner that is getting old, beginning to make a noise, and definitely on borrowed time. Since going to a paper-less file system, I use my scanner extensively and every day. The main reason I initially chose this model is that it was listed on the list of compatible scanners for the software I currently use to manipulate scanned documents.

  • Summary: The HP Scanjet G3010 is a great entry level scanner for a great price. It will exactly perform as it was meant to be--scanning pictures, films and documents. The resolution is great for an entry level scanner 4800 x 9600 dpi and the USB connectivity is just plain convenient. It comes with 3 software discs--one each for XP, Vista and Mac. So whichever operating system you are using, you are pretty much covered.

G3010 Scanner

Ian R. Campbell, Amazon

  • Summary: I have Windows Vista, a laptop with 2 gig memory and I just purchased the G3010 scanner to see if it could do what i wanted. I have many old photographs that needed to be scanned to include them in a web album. I was very surprised that it worked great with no problems for what I wanted it for. I did not test other functions but scanning to jpeg worked perfectly and you can scan more than one photo at a time. Hp apparently updated software for Vista.

  • Summary: I bought this scanner a few months ago, and have not been disappointed. I am running Windows Vista Home, and after inserting the disk that was shipped with the scanner I was up and running. No problems with the Windows drivers as some have mentioned.

Great scanner

Nancy J. Davis, Amazon

  • Summary: When I received this scanner I hooked it up to Windows Vista. It worked beautifully the first time. I had read reviews to not buy it for Vista but I didn't have any problems at all. Very easy to set up and I was using it immediately. I get excellent copies. The only bad thing I can say is that sometimes I don't get a full bed scan. It seems to be after I have rescanned the item at a different resolution. I would recommend this product.
