Summary: I tried this scanner for a week and it was the worst scanner I have ever used. It took ages to scan an 600dpi let alone 1200dpi and it was making a lot of noise like a compressor! I sent my one back and I don't know whether it was faulty or this was standard for this scanner. I would avoid this.
Summary: It doesn't work with Mountain Lion, no matter what drivers I tried to install. Besides, it requires USD and power connection, while most desk scanners work with just USB. Strongly disappointed, returning it back.
Summary: After receiving this scanner, I took it out of the box and thought this looks good. But how wrong I was, for I tried to install the software and it would not install, I went on to the HP site and down loaded the latest software for windows 7, which took an hour and tried to install again.
Summary: If you want a scanner that works half the time, and the rest of the time just makes loud grinding sounds, buzzes and gives you a blank page except for a nice rainbow type stripe at the top, then this is the scanner for you. If you want something that actually scans properly, don't choose this.
Summary: It's a cheapy. Buy a better quality one. I bought two of these. The second after I thought the first one was just bad luck. The second was just as bad. It just isnt fit for purpose. Sometimes it will scan but most times it just sits there clicking away (like for an hour) doing nothing.
Summary: I bought this scanner as I bought a new Samsung laptop which has windows 7 and my old scanner would not work on it. I searched for windows 7 scanners and this came up. It seemed to have good reviews so I ordered one.
Summary: I bought the HP Scanjet G2410 Flatbed scanner a month or so ago; I do not need a whole lot, so I went for pretty much the cheapest scanner I could find. In addition, I had a similar looking scanner before (the HP Scanjet 2200C), which lasted long and which I was very content with - so I hoped I...
Summary: I bought this a few months ago (Nov/Dec 2010) and it worked tolerably well using a Windows 7 netbook. There was little success with the OSX laptop (can't remember exactly why - I'm unsure if there was no drivers or an unreasonably large download).
Summary: I might just have been unlucky but his scanner stopped working after 3 days and I had to return it to Amazon. Because there were none in stock I didn't ask for it to be replaced. I did order another later because I tried a Canon Scanner in the meantime but the OCR facility on that was useless.
