Summary: I work from home and my company sent me a cheap all-in-one scanner/printer for $120 and it made HUGE HUGE files and quality was poor; one page could be 2.5 MB. Trying to make files smaller didn't work without tremendous quality decay. My company then sent me a HP 8350. OK, it is 10 times more expensive but you can throw 100 pages up on the ADF and walk away and you have a very high quality pdf file, maybe 3 x the quality of the all-in-one, and a file size of 1.5 MB for...
Summary: Comments about HP Scanjet 8350: I was able to convert all my documents to adobe files without spending too much of my time. The fact that this scanner has up to a 100 page auto feeder is amazing. I just put the stack there, return to it once in a while to save and name the file, and also when it gets stuck because I forgot to remove a staple =(. Otherwise, what a relief.
Pros: Accurate Color, Good Bit Depth, Good Resolution
Summary: Comments about HP Scanjet 8350: This is a great scanner for photos and labels. There are many one touch buttons, the machine is very small yet very easy to use and set up. I think they could have made it a little smaller but all in all it can do what I want it to and that is all that matters. I am happy with the quality of prints.
Pros: Easy Setup, Excellent Software, Good Bit Depth, Good Resolution
Summary: Comments about HP Scanjet 8350: I have to say HP cannot make printers or scanners. This one needs to be taken out back. It is slow, bad quality, flimsy, and barely works half the time. I wouldn't recommend it.
Cons: Difficult Setup, Difficult to Keep Clean, Inaccurate Color, Inaccurate Scans, Poor Bit Depth, Poor Resolution, Poor Software, Slow
