Excerpt: My Hewlett-Packard Scanjet 3670 is a high quality scanner that has served me well. I bought this scanner about a year ago, and it has worked well for me ever since. My experience with the printer in regard to its installation was a very smooth experience.
Summary: After reading bad reviews I decided to give my own opinion. This is an old model so if you get hold of one it's already dated. I have had mine for many years and have scanned EVERYTHING you can think of and they all turn out perfect. The detail is incredible, mirror like. I have scanned multiple pictures at once and it separates each - you can edit before scanning - into separate scans saving so much time for big projects. The scans print out beautifully into photos.
Summary: This scanner only lasted four montns before failing to perform. It only had a 90-day warranty so it pooped out just about one month after the end of the warranty. Their manual says you can't just throw them away because they contain mercury and lead so I took it back to Office Max, where I bought it, and told them to recycle it along with their other recyclable stuff. Won't every buy another HP product. Piece of junk!!!!
Summary: I bought this scanner as a replacement for my older Mustek 1200UB. I made a mistake and promply returned it for a refund. The quality was very nice, however, the scanner produced little horizontal lines all the way down the right side. This was unacceptable as I had bought the scanner to do a project where I'd be scanning lots and lots of old family photos for storage. I'm not trying to be too negative about this scanner, but the software was difficult to use as well.
Summary: This is my 2nd HP scanner. The first lasted 6 years, this one 6 months. The scanner seemed a little slow but did a good job of scanning. I don't use one everyday so I don't need a high end scanner. At light usage I did expect the scanner to last longer than 6 months. Since this is a relatively inexpensive scanner, repairing it is not cost effective. My next scanner will be from Canon which I have found out has a 1-year warranty rather than only 90 days.
Summary: I love this scanner. It is a high quality machine. The quick access buttons on the front are very conveint. My only problem with this is that it didn't give enough instructions on how to use the picture negatives part.
Excerpt: "I bought this when I was a student and it's still going strong! I needed it to scan high res images onto my PC for editing in photoshop. So I needed to get a good quality scan at a low price (student budget!) I bought it online for £67.99 which i think is a really good price to pay! others in the same marker were selling for around £80-£100 so I was very happy with my bargain! A simple, step-by-step manual makes setting up the scanner easy. The ...
Excerpt: "...happens when you run the HP program (scansoft textbridge in my case) you can use the HP program for scanning photos or images, but obviously the textbridge I use is for text.... When scanned on both progs the image/text is extremely clear, its just as good as having the origional!! :o When you scan something the scanner automatically sets it to crop around the thing which has been scanned and so when you save it you dont have to crop it and ...
