Summary: I bought this to get old photos from relatives. So many of the older photos my family has are deteriorating fast. If I have my laptop; I just scan as many of their pictures while I'm there. Then everyone gets a copy. The badly torn and faded get a second life in photo processing.
Summary: This is a GREAT little photo scanner. Its so easy to use and put onto your computer. Its also a great price and I ended up buying these for a few friends last christmas. The quality is excellent!!!! The software allows you to instantly see the image and manipulate it before saving it.
Summary: I was nervous that this scanner wouldn't play nicely with my iBook, as I couldn't find any reference on the web to people being able to use it successfully with OS X, but I should have known better than to worry. All I had to do was plug it in to my USB port and I was off and running!
Summary: I purchased this product based on the reviews here. However I am very disappointed after using it for only two days. 1) Bad design. My computer can't boot when this scanner is plugged in. I found out from HP's website that this is a known problem for Windows XP.
Summary: This is the perfect scanner togo. it doesn't have a power cord so it's portable. you can pretty much scan 4x6 photo to business cards and you can take it anywhere. very easy to use and simple.
Summary: Works well for the limited purpose for which it apparently was designed -- scanning snapshots for web or other computer use. (Excellent for genealogy use as one reviewer suggested.) Note that it is USB-powered, which makes it convenient for portable use with laptop since no power adapter is needed.
Summary: Works like a photocopier--couldn't be easier and more convenient. Plus, the software that comes with it is simple and easy to use. True, it only scans up to 4X6, but that's all I bought it for.
Summary: We take a lot of pictures, but I can't convince my wife to move to a digital camera. That leaves me with the problem of getting all of our snap-shots posted on our webpage. I have a regular full-size flat bed scanner, but I hated scanning pictures with it because it took forever to do each picture,...
Summary: I recently bought the HP 4x6 photo scanner. It is great for what it is. A convenient and quick and easy to use scanner for someone who only wants to scan their photos onto their computer. I quickly realized though its not for me. Im taking mine back to get an upgraded HP scanner.
