  • Summary: Worked great. Arrived on time. Perfect condition. Realize that you don't need the software for it. Your computer thinks it is a thumb drive.

HP Photo Scanner 1000

  • Summary: A nifty little scanner that I don't use for photos. Being on the road I can scan and email documentations necessary for travel receipts and business contacts. Wish I had a couple for spares. Great for someone who travels and fits right in my laptop case and no power supply needed. Have scanned many items while traveling by air.

HP 1000 Photo Scanner

  • Summary: Compact USB powered 4x6 scanner. Very easy to use. Odd storage system, clears memory at start of each scan, but there is a third-party program that solves this nicely. I scan checks, money orders, labels etc as well as photos.

Great scanner.....great price!!!

ivfd4, Ebay
5 May 2010
  • Summary: I bought this scanner because I am a scrapbooker. I wanted it for convenience reasons but admit it isn't exactly what I thought it was when I bought it. I thought it was the scanner that you just run the item through but it has the lid you lift and then scan. It works great though, I have no complaints especially for the price.

Does exactly what I need it for!

Pamela G. Richards, Amazon
16 October 2009
  • Summary: I bought this to get old photos from relatives. So many of the older photos my family has are deteriorating fast. If I have my laptop; I just scan as many of their pictures while I'm there. Then everyone gets a copy. The badly torn and faded get a second life in photo processing. This will help archive my families history. LOVE IT!

Jaguar & Panther Compatibility. Great Price!

James G "J.M.G.", Amazon
28 June 2003
  • Summary: I purchased this scanner at a local store for around the same as Amazon. I plugged it in to my iMac running OS X and iPhoto worked like a champ. This is an incredible bargain scanner. There are some slight annoyances with OS X but not like some of the USB XP issues that I've heard about on various sites. This scanner is NOT DIRECTLY STATED as being compatible with Mac OS X. I've tested this unit in Panther and it also works great.
