Excerpt: Great scanner. The duplex scanning on first pass is so great. And it is fast! The only thing that would be great in today's modern computing age is wireless. Bonus would be scan direct to cloud services without the need for a computer. But overall, such a great document scanner.
Summary: I "downgraded" from a Fujitsu ix500 to the S1300i when I took a new job and began traveling internationally several months at a time. This scanner has kept me sane and organized; big power in a small package. I am very pleased with it.
Excerpt: It definitely serves my purpose, which is to keep track of personal records electronically. Easy to setup and to start using it. The only downside I found was I thought ALL PDF documents scanned would be searchable by default - however there are certain conditions that need to be met (such as...
Pros: Easy To Use, Scans Accurately, Scans Quickly
Summary: I don't really need to write this review as the others have said it all... with great specific pros and cons... but I'll weigh in as a Mac user. I selected this scanner after MUCH reading because it's very MAC compatible... and much less expensive than those more highly rated.
Summary: So, I researched the h*@# out of these and based on reviews everywhere there is no clear choice. Overall, you have to zero in on what you need a scanner for. We wanted to go paperless at home and this turned out to be a pretty good option.
Excerpt: We bought this scanner to connect to a laptop to scan about 50 pages per week of miscellaneous office documents. The scanner is small, and works well, but is really only good for occasional scanning.
Pros: Easy To Transport, Easy To Use, Scans Accurately
Excerpt: I have owned the ScanSnap for a week, and have found it was easy to connect to my computer. It is easy to use and I use it almost daily. The one draw back that I have found is combining individual scans into one document or save each individual document saved in a different file.
Flexible scanner w/ good image quality and OCR. Software could be better.

Summary: I have the ScanSnap S1300i hooked up to a MacBook Pro 15 from 2009. I use this product for two reasons: document scanner and receipt scanner. The product works better than I expected but I have a couple issues about the software/hardware interactions.
Excerpt: This scanner is very useful for occasional scans of few documents. The included software works very well with both Windows and Mac OS. I have gotten occasional double feeds and the ADF sometimes crumples your document by feeding it at an angle.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy to use, Good Resolution, Widely Compatible
