Works great

  • Excerpt: Works great for document scanning. But not very good with photos. But I bought it to use as a document scanner. It works with mavericks running on a Mac book air.

Love the scanner, but we need to talk about the software

Marilyn, Amazon
23 February 2013
  • Summary: This is a nifty device and well-worth the money. I have started de-cluttering my office. However, I have 2012 MacBook Pro and the software options for creating and manipulating files seems limited. The computer operating system no longer recognizes, and therefore, prohibits the use of the business card reading software. I'm still studying the situation before Fujitsu and I discuss why I paid extra for non-functional software. The scanner itself is a little wonder.

Good product

AZ.Ven, Amazon

  • Summary: The scab arrived on time. It is smaller than I thought but works fine. The setup was easy but the software Rack2 is nof friendly. The scan works sync with Rack2. The scan is fast enough. I recommend the scan but not Rack2.

good product

  • Excerpt: Excellent lightweight portable scanner. I use this for business and personal matters, and it is a really good product. In fact, I bought two scanners, one for the home and another for the office. It is great to take on the road if you have to work with or review documents. It scans photos too. The software is easy to use, but my only complaint is that I haven't figured out yet how to customize the scan quality. This scanner is a new favorite!

Pretty good but made adjustments

Manny, Amazon
16 May 2012
  • Summary: The small size is awesome for travel and works on my MacBook Pro and Window OS Netbook. However, I did make some adjustments and observations. 1. I removed the top cover- the one that opens up vertically because the angle is too much for some thicker paper stocks. One sheet got jammed when feeding through the scanner and I was freaking out the feeding mechanism might get damaged. You can gently pop it off it's plastic hinges. 2.

Highly recommended!

Scott, Amazon
2 May 2012
  • Summary: I haven't been this pleased by a product in a long time. At first, I was hesitant about the price, but after scanning a few hundred pictures, I know it's worth it. First, the rationale--I received a hand-scanner from work to do some research, where you manually rake it across a photo. Short of being a nightmare, it was, however, a pain.

Good product with minor flaws

Brian T., Newegg
8 October 2011
  • Summary: - No TWAIN drivers: I'm a little concerned about the long term compatibility of this scanner should the proprietary software no longer work with my OS; Can't scan with 3rd party software in different formats
  • Pros: - Plastic guide can adjust for whether you're scanning items that you don't mind bending (so you could place the unit flat against the wall) or have to keep straight (like plastic cards); You don't have to remove it! Just flip it up when you want to save space. This wasn't clear in manual.
  • Cons: - Paper guide isn't the best; its quite small and its easy to get sheets slightly crooked, although the software compensates for this if it isn't too bad

works great for light scanning

JC, Amazon
18 August 2011
  • Summary: This is great if you are traveling with a briefcase for work pros: mac and PC compatible higher quality scan than taking a picture with your phone (for those that need to scan and e-mail legal documents requiring signature, on the go) great for going to semi-rural areas where they may provide a PC and printer for your use but not scanner/copier cons: slower than taking a picture can not handle duplex or more than one page at a time so a bit time consuming if you have...
