Great Product but the Technology Inside is Too Old

Summary: Great idea behind this product but I found scanning to Google Docs unworkable as it waited for over minute just to populate the folder list on my Google Docs account - not acceptable in a fast-paced work environment. The OCR function took way too long as well. A very complicated device, this is NOT a consumer product.
Summary: Very difficult to set up. It requires deep technical know how of networking protocols, SMTP, and OS services just to get up and running. Do not attempt unless you have full-time technical staff in house that can debug and troubleshoot this very very complicated and unintuitive machine. I want to return it.
Summary: Beware. Don't make the Fujistu mistake I did. I now own $2,500 worth of Fujistu-scanner-bricks. Fujitsu sells these expensive business-class scanners, then fails to update drivers for new versions of Windows. When this happens, your scanner hardware will work fine, but your computer won't recognize it. I guess for a few hundred bucks I could live with this, but when prices get north of $1,000, I feel cheated.
Summary: Our employees despise this scanner. Entering a username and password on the touchscreen is torture, switching between the alpha pad and the numeric pad is tedious and prone to errors requiring a start over. To make matters worse, you have to enter it a second time when you want to scan to a shared folder on a computer. Then, enter it between each document you scan. The administration software for this machine is annoying and unintuitive.
Summary: This device had my hopes high, yet dashed them at pretty much every turn. I purchased one of these to provide my users more network scanners without deploying more multifunction workgroup printers. The menu system is cumbersome to put it gently. Be prepared (by design) to input the same information over and over and over again. The very slow interface transitions make using this as a "small but numerous job" scanner impossible.
Overpriced, and nowhere near as functional as you might think

Summary: I have to hand it to Fujitsu here. The marketing around this device is simply amazing. Sadly the functionality is nowhere near as incredible. First things first, out of the box, and unlike 90+ percent of every other vendor building IP-connected devices, you cannot use a built in web server to configure the device. Thats right, there is one, but it is verging on unusable. If you're on a Mac OSX device, forget it.
