Great scanner for normal A size documents, but not for A3 as they advertize.

Summary: I bought this mainly because it said it could do A3 size documents, but after receiving it, I found out that to do an A3 size document, you have to fold it in half and insert it in-between a clear film packet (carrier) to feed it through the scanner. Then the software will stitch the two halves together. The problem is, it doesn't stitch it together very well at all.
Summary: I have had this scanner for about 3 months and like it a lot. I decided to go paperless at my business and the ScanSnap made it possible. The only problem I have had is a glitch with the software. Periodically, it will fail to recognize that the ScanSnap is plugged in and I have to reboot my computer to get it to work. This can be pretty aggravating when you have several projects open on your computer.
Summary: Trying to reduce the paper load in my home office. First tried the "NEAT" scanner but the software was not adequate for my needs. Went with the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 Deluxe Bundle Scanner for PC (PA03656-B015) after reading the reviews at Amazon.com I loaded the software July of 2013 and started using the scanner immediately.
Summary: I like that it closes up to be compact and takes up less space while also keeping dust out of the scanner when not in use. The scanning process is easy and it's very simple to save the file how and where you want it.
Summary: Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 was purchased to help get a handle on all the paper around the desk! It not only performs efficiently, but also the software bundle is a big help with organizing the scanned data. I've been looking for the perfect OCR reader for years and up till now, stayed away from scanners claiming to do OCR. Fujitsu ScanSnap caught my eye when looking for a desk organizer and is the best so far!
Summary: This scanner is awesome! Scans multiple sizes automatically. Does not jam! However, Adobe stopped making the Acrobat Standard edition for the Mac so it is not bundled with the ScanSnap (It is for the PC). The bundled substitute software is not the same.
Summary: I have a lot of documents and scientific papers to scan, wanted them done quickly. This is the first time I bought such a scanner and I'm generally happy with it. Good points: - Incredibly fast scanner and very sexy looking - Handles large amounts of paper, even in poor condition, very well - Comes with some nice software programs for example they can scan business cards and has software to order them at them to your contacts using OCR technology - scanned documents can...
Summary: Images very good and scanning is fast. Multiple pages scanned with little or no jamming. Software bloated with limited options - unable to use 3rd party software to process images. Overall well satisified.
Summary: It does all that it promises to do, and does it well. The software is a bit encumbersome, the scanner cover a bit eccentric, the cost a bit high, therefore 4 stars. It's a good buy and I would recommend it to others.
