Follow-up to my last negative review.

  • Excerpt: You can read my prior review which is marked as the most useful negative review. After my posted review I figured as mentioned that I would live with a $ dollar paper weight. A few weeks after speaking to Fujitsu support I received an email survey about the support I received.

I used to LOVE this scanner -- now not so sure...

Carleigh, Amazon
29 December 2014
  • Summary: I have been using this scanner for about a year and a half, long enough to have fallen in love with its ease of use and speed. It hardly ever jammed or missed pages, until recently. I desperately want to give this scanner a five star review, as it has worked faithfully for me for 16 months.

Fast and scans even poor quality documents

Michael E Swanson, Amazon
30 January 2014
  • Summary: It is very fast and scans even wrinkled and torn documents. Rarely jams unless I leave a staple in. Very disappointed that it does not have twain compliant drivers so I could scan directly from Quicken.

ScanSnap filing system

Barnard A. bruce, Amazon
17 January 2014
  • Summary: I am very impressed at the scanning speed of this product and would not hesitate to recommend it for that purpose. I am, however, having quite a bit of trouble getting the SnapScan software to function as I thought (and was lead to believe) that it would.

BUYER BEWARE! Bad experience ix500

TNV, Amazon
4 February 2013
  • Summary: 2nd update - Received 3rd ix500 scanner today from PCNation - Scanner installed and worked perfectly first time. I would advise anyone who receives this scanner, and who is finding that it is not working properly after installing, that it is probably a waste of time to talk to Fujitsu support.

Only works with Fujitsu bloated software, only scans PDF and JPG formats

Lex Green, Amazon
13 April 2015
  • Summary: I recently purchased this scanner but decided to return because Fujitsu forces the use of bloated software. Without installing their software the scanner cannot be used. Also, scans cannot be made into PNG format. Fujitsu restricts scan types to JPG or PDF.

good quality, but could be easier to configure and overstates its dropbox integration!

Mr Gregory Durrans, Amazon
23 February 2015
  • Summary: It's good, but bought against my better judgement having used a similar brother product for a couple of years. Dropbox integration is not strictly true....it basically scans to a folder that is dropbox....I really wanted a scanner that bypassed my computer and scanned immediately to the cloud!

Mixed response

hopefulagnostic, Amazon
26 January 2015
  • Summary: Unlike my much cheaper Doxie scanner, amazingly this will not scan to multiple folders ( say Dropbox and Evernote) without rescanning! However, this is a competent fast scanner if you do not expect too much.
