Good luck scanning more than one document

K. Amberg, Amazon
30 June 2013
  • Summary: This is a very fickle scanner. You can scan one or two documents fine but if you have three or more you will have to feed them individually and half the time they will go in crooked and ruin your document. If you have the money, I would suggest a different scanner. Perhaps for home use it would be ok but for an office it's very frustrating.

Fujitsu ScanSnap fi5110E0X2 a scanning marvel

sepearce748, Ebay
28 August 2010
  • Summary: I have been used to using flat bed scanners with ADF attachments from HP that scanned about 4-5 pages a minute. While I have scanned a lot of material, it is a time consuming process leaving much to be desired. With my purchase of the ScanSnap 5110 I was introduced the the world of duplex or single sided scanning at high speed with great ease. For those that would like to have more at their fingertips and less in their paper files, this type of scanner is a must.

Item received as described. Good shipment time.

willingham7793, Ebay
28 December 2009
  • Summary: The Fujitsu ScanSnap 5110EOX2 is very good desktop scanner. The small footprint is excellent for workstations with a limited amount of surface area. Setup is simple (especially compared to Visioneer) but a bit time consuming due to Fujitsu's large native programs that come with the scanner. One major drawback is the resale cost for the ScanSnap as you will be lucky to find this model for less than $200.

  • Summary: After making more than 100 trades on ebay I experienced my first purchase that was not totally as advertised. I did not think this would possibly be resolved after already paying the vendor. However, ebay acted upon this issue immediately and to my surprise was completely resolved in a short period of time tomy complete satisfaction

Unreliable Fujitsu Drivers - No TWAIN drivers - Awful

Mark Early, Amazon
20 January 2008
  • Summary: I have owned this unreliable piece of equipment for 2+ years and made the mistake of recommending it to friends after I got it, not smart on my part. It is inexcusable of Fujitsu to not provide industry standard TWAIN drivers. This should have been my first clue. The supplied Fujitsu driver is quite unreliable and has been the source of much frustration.

The ADF is highly tempermental.

Rick, pcRUSH.com
1 December 2006
  • Summary: Comments about Fujitsu Scansnap FI-5110EOX2: The ADF is tempermental. Be prepared to feed a sheet at a time. Awfully unreliable. If you have deadlines this might as well be a flatbed.
  • Pros: Accurate Color, Easy Setup, Good Bit Depth, Good Resolution
  • Cons: Bad ADF

  • Summary: Comments about Fujitsu ScanSnap fi-5110EOX2: This product is the best scanner I ever used. My need is to scan and organise documents at work and home to avoid bulks and bulks of paperwork. Apart from very important papers like taxes, Insurance etc, I scan the rest and shred them away. It is so easy and quick. Do you remember the last time you scanned something? Placing the item and waiting for the scanner to warm up and that strange noise while scanning.
  • Pros: Adobe PDF 70 is free, Any size less than legal, FASTEST ever, No confusing installation, Receipts scan so good, Scans both sides FAST, Small file size afterscan, Very small size easycarry
  • Cons: Verylight pensil dontshow

This is a keeper. Little jewel! I love my scanner

DrLee "PharmD/MD2B", Amazon
11 May 2006
  • Summary: Now I use every excuse I get to scan my documents, receipts, anything I want a copy of into this little machine and it scans it efficiently and in good quality. It is by far one of my favorite peripherals. It duplex copies, it recognizes empty pages and deletes them...I just can't say enough about it. I would recommend this without hesitation. I've used this scanner on a daily basis now for several months and I need to add that this scanner does have some faults.

Good, but software needs work

Andrew H. Zack, Amazon
2 April 2006
  • Summary: I bought this after reading very strong reviews, but I confess I'm strongly disappointed in the software that comes with the program. Not Adobe, but the ScanSnap software that stands between the machine and Adobe. This software has a strangely DOS or Windows 3.1 feel to it. It won't allow you to save a file with spaces in the name, so you need to use underscores, or do what I do: Let it save it with a date-based name, then do a "Save as" from Adobe and change the name.

Great scanner, although not perfect

Lon J. Seidman, Amazon
15 March 2006
  • Summary: I bought this scanner to help me better organize the voluminous amounts of paper I collect through both my work and volunteer activities. In many ways this scanner works as advertised - it is very fast with great image quality. The ability to quickly scan both pages of a two sided document simultaneously is this product's best feature. I do have some frustrations that any potential buyer should be aware of prior to adding it to their cart: 1.
