Excerpt: Glad I got this case - I did not know it existed but thanks to B&H website "suggestions" I ordered it when I ordered my ScanSnap iX500. The case makes it easy to carry the scanner and all of its cables to and from my office. A bit difficult to zip but only because it has a protective flap over the zipper to prevent anything from seeping into the case which is a nice feature. Worth the money to protect your pricey (but great) scanner.
Summary: This machine worked for less than 8 months and broke. The expense to get ti fixed without guarantee that the same melted roller issue won't happen again immediately would cost more than another refurbished machine.
Summary: I purchased this scanner for a worker in my company that needed to image a large number of documents for archival purposes. The original impression when installing the scanner was a little iffy. It is very small and made entirely of plastic. It has performed very well. The included software works great also. I have since purchased and deployed a second scanner in my company with excellent results.
Summary: Excellent, outstanding product. So far it has been reliable. It a bit on the expensive side but definitely I'm glad I purchased it. It interfaced with my computer flawlessly. It could hold more sheets--that would really help.
Summary: fantastic tool. these scanners are awesome. but save a few dollars and buy the ix500. the 6130 machine allows programming and other customization, but otherwise works the same, and actually I think the ix500 is faster. none of the 6130 extra features turned out to be useful and to use the one-button scan mode, you have to turn off the custom features anyway.
