Summary: I'm a fan of this workhorse machine and these are nicely refurbished. Used our first one since 2005 before rollers finally deteriorated. Mutli-page scans can jam but it is fast (36 ppm on 240 resolution) and we scan hundreds of pages a day. May have trouble using with newer operating systems.
Summary: I have been a tech-head all my life. 20+ years in Printing, Publishing then over a decade in IT. I've used flatbeds, handhelds, camera stands everything to image and nothing worked as well as this little machine! I'm on my 2nd used one!
Summary: Very easy set-up, simple to use and very forgiving when the paper is not fed in straight. Quite speedy for a small device and takes up relatively small desk space. Scans are excellent and the device works with most programs.
Summary: This scanner is small and compact, fits well on the desk, and is a solid workhorse with a fairly fast scan speed. It is, of course, an older model now, having been replased with the fi-6180, which is also a great machine.
Summary: Don't buy from this person. I usually look at the satisfaction ratings and I think I remember that he had 6 ratings, all 100,(BS). The sheet-fed automatic scanner was supposed to be lightly used, what I got was a dirty, poorly packaged scanner without the document feeder.
Summary: I first saw this scanner when I went to the hospital for a routine procedure and was impressed with its small size and speed. The employee who was scanning told me what a pleasure it was to use. I was hooked, and after doing some research, I bought it to use at home to replace my flatbed scanner.
