Summary: I've been going totally away from paper filing and this is a good choice for a scanner to accomplish that fact. It handles all kinds of paper and scans both sides of a document in one pass. Quick and efficient.
Summary: This scanner is 'da Bomb!' I can't believe how easy it is to install and use. I purchased this as a 'refurbished' scanner from Epson along with a 3-year replacement warranty. I save over 50% of the purchase price of a new one and it is awesome.
Excerpt: I suppose this is an acceptable scanner. It seems to work. What REALLY chaps my hide, though, is that Epson is so paranoid that they don't even allow owners to download a complete manual for the machine. I can understand their wanting to save paper and printing costs, but the COMPLETE manual should be downloadable for owners to print for themselves. You'd think that several hundred bucks worth of equipment would include access to a printable copy of the manual.
Excerpt: I like this scanner. I was thinking of getting another brand, when I came across this one. I liked what it had to offer. I wanted to get rid of paper in my house. This scanner does it quickly. I have run hundred of papers through this scanner and saved them on my computer. I also plan to use this product for work. I am a big fan of this product, I hope it will serve me years to come.
Excerpt: The GT-S50 is an excellent scanner. It is fast, has lots of scanning options as to type of output, eg, jpeg, pdf, etc. and has been very reliable. It handles lots of difference size documents. Occasionally the output will not match the options specified in the software. For example, a page of a document may not be rotated as specified. Very minor occurrence. To sum up: high quality output, fast, and reliable.
