Summary: Turns out that all the accompanying software with this scanner -- while advertised as a complete suite -- is written for the steam-powered PowerPC Macs, not for the ones made in the last 4 years.
Summary: I received the GT-S50 and started to set it up on a Windows 7 system. The disk process seems slow but completed successfully. I attempted to scan and received an error. I cleared the paper and restarted the scanner multiple times. After downloading the driver from the website I made a good scan.
Summary: I bought this product 2 weeks ago and am still in the set-up process. The hardware seems very good, but the software is poorly documented, at least for the new user. I feel like I need my own IT department to interface the various software programs that come with the scanner.
Summary: I work at a medical office and we have recently switched over to having electronic medical records, which left someone (me), to scan in every old paper chart into the computer. The scanner boasts it can "scan up to 1,200 pages a day." Unfortounately, this is not the case.
