I just purchased this scanner yesterday and was absolutely thrilled as it scanned all day yesterday perfectly and so quickly. BUT today all the scans done with the automatic feeder have a blue line down the center. I checked the glass and everything is clean and I can't seem to get rid of this line down the middle of all the scans. Any suggestions?

We had ours for 14 months when a yellow line began showing up on scans. Our IT people foind some loose connection and fixed it, but the line whowed up again a few days later. I cannot but thinkiit is a planned for failure component. While it worked, it was a superb scanner. We paid $244 for it June 2009 and have scanned a gazillion pages with it to tunr books into pdf. (on 'special' it is now $310!!) We are seriously considering a new such or similar scanner for foreign languages and using a scanning service for our Western languages
