User Review

  • Summary: I had an Epson for "ever" and it finally gave out. I had previously owned an HP so checked out both companies. Epson, by far, makes the best scanners and gives the most for my money. It was easy to set up and I have been working it A LOT, to catch up on all my projects while I was without a scanner. So often a company will make a product that we like and when it quits, we buy the same brand only to find that they don't make it as good as it used to be.

Scanman, Epson
7 June 2014
  • Summary: Just received the V600 directly from Epson, a refurbished unit. I have purchased other refurbished equipment with no problems and this is no exception. It is as new as it gets, could not find and issue with any thing. Received it directly from Epson, very quick delivery.

Scanning old photos

MDexTX, Epson
4 June 2014
  • Summary: I bought this scanner when I knew I was going to be sorting a number of old photos from my family. The scanner seems to accurately reproduce the originals and I was quite happy with the results. I haven't yet tried scanning slides and negatives; that will come later.

A WELL NAMED SCANNER

Hal, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: This is one incredible scanner. It delivers excellent jpg files from negatives and positives. For the price, it is a real buy. I have only had the scanner for a little over a week but I have scanned hundreds of 35mm and 120 mm negatives and slides with great results. A few hints. Always use the special platen cleaner cloth and the film brush for removing dust. Also, I initially ran into a terrible problem of the negatives not lining up correctly.
  • Pros: Accurate Color, Easy To Set Up, Excellent Software, Good Resolution
