Worth Every Penny

  • Excerpt: For the person that wants to digitize their pictures and slides this is a fine scanner. I found the software intuitive and quickly established a work flow to scan prints quickly. Then again this is not my first rodeo with Digital Ice. For the new comer experimentation is in order to determine what can or cannot be done, there is a learning curve. I would love to buy a Nikon Coolscan to scan my thousand or so slides but I cannot afford that price.
  • Pros: Accurate Color, Easy To Set Up, Excellent Software, Good Bit Depth, Good Resolution, Widely Compatible

  • Pros: Accurate Color, Easy To Set Up, Excellent Software, Good Bit Depth, Good Resolution, Widely Compatible, Works on Network

Great!

  • Excerpt: I have not had an issue with this scanner. The quality of the negative scans are great. Black and white photos come out well balanced and very close to the prints. I'm very satisfied. Program is user friendly and allows a good amount of control. However Color negatives don't scan very accurately. I will have to use another program to help get the proper color correction (once I start developing them).

Pleasantly surprised

  • Excerpt: I wanted a product that would scan a sales receipt to a searchable PDF AND also to scan negatives, slides and photos. This Epson perfection does it all with style. I am quite impressed with the device and with the software that came with it. I put off buying a scanner for years because there just weren't any in an affordable range that would do the job well. This one has the capability to do it.

  • Excerpt: 35mm Slides - AWESOMEPhotos - AWESOMEColor Negatives - AWESOME(But Epson Scan SW is a little difficult to figure out) I watched a video on YouTube from PiciScan on the V700 which is very similar and gave me GREAT insight for my V600. Photoshop Elements SW is included and has the potential to make your pics better than new I digitized my 43 year old Ektachrome 35mm slides from Southeast Asia as well as brought back wonderful memories of Ft.

The Best Choice for Novice or Almost-Pro

The Family Archivist, B&H Photo
19 January 2015
  • Excerpt: This is one of the best options on the market if you want to capture high-quality images, and I say this after using it as well as doing the research beforehand. In terms of comparison, I chose this over the CanoScan 9000F because it has comparable resolution capabilities AND the V600 can lift the lid 90 degrees and detach from the bed (cable stays connected). This ability to scan the faces of large objects is an important feature for the amateur archivist like myself.

Great Scanner

Camper Jim, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: Very sharp, excellent colors and contrast. This did a wonderful job on my 30year old 35mm slides. The scanner is easy to setup and use but I have some unusual uses and I found the operators instructions to be incomplete and poorly written.

  • Excerpt: My Canon 9950F scanner was not supported under Mac OSX Mavericks so it was time to upgrade and Epson did not disappoint. Much faster and more control under professional mode.
  • Pros: Accurate Color, Easy To Set Up, Excellent Software, Good Resolution
