Excerpt: I've only given this four stars as the first one I received was faulty. However for the price this is one versatile scanner. I've been busy digitizing my 35mm slides to great effect. The resolution is great as is the detail.
Summary: I always used an HP scanner ,but I needed a new computer and there was no driver for my perfectly good scanner .HP did not provide a driver ,so I looked for a scanner that would work with my computer . I found an EPSON AND WOW it is great. Easy to use and gives professional results .

Summary: Software was easy to get loaded. Set up and included information was excellent. I copied 80 slides - good clear results. It seems to work a little slow - sometimes this is required to get the great results.

I had only one issue with the software, I initially could only get it to work once, and then had to reinstall everything.
Summary: 1st one messed up Laptop with W10 (Epson printer - perhaps confused each other-both Epson). Had to do a "restore". Scanner quit working. Took it back. Attached new one to desktop with W8 (HP printer). Works great!
