Summary: I had previously purchased an Epson V370 Scanner to scan slides and negatives. I had one problem, and I called Epson Telephone Technical Support, and was instantly given the correct solution to my problem by someone who spoke and understood American English. The Epson V370 Scanner could not scan Medium Format (120 or 620 size) negatives, so I bought an Epson V550 Scanner, which can scan Medium Format negatives.

Summary: if you could award zero stars, I would. Thought this was a higher end consumer model. IT IS NOT. mine is in the trashcan. if you have more than one crispy 8.51..5 black and white receipt with perfect edges for a document feeder, this is not the scanner for you.
Summary: I have had my scanner set up a little over a month and it completely stopped working. I can't even get the scanner to turn on and it is telling me I can't return this item. Also, it said it could scan up to 11 x 17 and it can't. It only scans 8.5 x 11. I DO NOT recommend this item.
Summary: Will not recognize or scan slides. Followed directions in manual, on several websites, and various forums. Tried all the different modes, especially Professional....nothing. Nothing works. It just scans a copy of four slides sitting in the slide holder, but does not scan them individually.
Summary: if you absolutely need to scan in negatives or slides should you consider this product. It is absolutely the SLOWEST scanner I have EVER used. It does offer a number of options in terms of selecting what you are scanning but it takes an average of 3 minutes to scan 4 slides - abysmal performance. BUT, was the only scanner I could find in my area that could scan negatives (only reason for purchase) and my former scanner for this purpose finally gave up the ghost.
