  • Excerpt: Scans very nice when scanning from original photos or negatives. Need to clean negatives and old photos before scanning since it picks up every speck of dust. Wish it also came with an adaptor to scan APS negatives. Does fantastic job scanning old photos to convert to digital.
  • Pros: Accurate Color, Easy To Set Up, Excellent Software, Good Resolution, Great Scans, Scans 35MM Negatives
  • Cons: No Aps Negative Adaptor

Competent scanner, clunky software

Tony, B&H Photo
6 July 2015
  • Excerpt: I used this scanner to scan a number of quite old photographs. It did a fine job. For the ones I was most concerned about, I used the "1600 dpi" setting, which got as much detail as I was able to see on the photograph using a magnifying glass.
  • Pros: Good Resolution, Widely Compatible
  • Cons: Difficult Setup, Poor Software

  • Summary: Purchased to scan a couple hundred old family slides and photos. The ability to scan four slides at once is great. The product comes with a lot of extra software that is not needed, but other than that the scanner and main software works very good for scanning items.

After much research, I chose this one and couldn't be happier!

James T. Parker, Amazon
9 May 2015
  • Summary: I've had this scanner for a month now and it has performed flawlessly. Be SURE to follow the installation directions and DON'T plug it in to your computer until the software and drivers are loaded. I've read horror stories, so I wanted to emphasize that, as the installation instructions do as well.

Great for Scanning Transparencies

John from Laurel, B&H Photo
30 March 2015
  • Excerpt: It works well for scanning slides or black and white negatives. The light in the lid is only wide enough to do 35mm slides or negatives, so it would not be useful for medium format or larger negatives. I have not been able to color-correct color negatives, but that's not a scanner issue.
  • Pros: Accurate Color, Easy To Set Up, Excellent Software, Good Resolution, Widely Compatible

Great 35mm film scanner

Vee, B&H Photo
3 March 2015
  • Excerpt: I bought this scanner specifically to scan 35mm film with, and it works great for that! I haven't really tested it with the other functions, but it seems like a good product overall.
