Excerpt: It works well for scanning slides or black and white negatives. The light in the lid is only wide enough to do 35mm slides or negatives, so it would not be useful for medium format or larger negatives. I have not been able to color-correct color negatives, but that's not a scanner issue. This scanner, like most Epson products has a Linux driver and software. They work very well!
Pros: Accurate Color, Easy To Set Up, Excellent Software, Good Resolution, Widely Compatible

Excerpt: love my new scanner- it scans very high quality. Was surprised at the high quality for such a low price. I only wish it had a USB or card scanning capability instead of needing to have a computer hooked up.Very easy to use. The software is very straightforward and the manual very informative. Love the large buttons on the front. It also scans very quiet and very fast.
Summary: All I can say is WOW! First of all my scanner was delivered way before I expected. Within a few minutes I was already scanning some of the hundreds of 35mm. and Stereo slides that I have collected over the years. I wish the manufacturer had provided a carrier for stereo slides, but I have found a way of scanning them without removing them for the stereo mounts.
Excerpt: This scanner was very easy to set up. The software was also easy to install and use. I have many years worth of slides to scan and I've been very pleased with the speed and quality of the output. It's a great value for the price!
Pros: Accurate Color, Easy To Set Up, Excellent Software, Good Bit Depth, Good Resolution
