Summary: As Advertised. Works well. I'm scanning in all my family pictures, so I;m using it a lot. For this task I prefer the Professional Mode. It is faster. I've used some of the functions to restore some old pictures. I think those could be better, but they have improved the color and contrast of some pictures. The hardware part of the scanner seems to work fine. The software could be a little better.
Summary: I installed this device and use it successfully, and have touched advanced features. I had to get a software upgrade to get it working in Win 8, and it seems to get along OK with Win 8.1. Installation was not trivial, but it worked. Use of features beyond the basic features, again, is sometimes confusing, but it does what it's supposed to do.
Summary: This is a lightweight, handy equipment and good companion for the desktop computer or laptop. It would have been more convenient to have the plug connections at the back of the scanner, rather than to the front right side.
Great machine but the software is a little quirky.

Summary: Scanner .. awesome! Shipping .. duh! Awesome! This is my 2nd Epson scanner. My first was a Epson 636 Perfection .. I spent $500 for it back in 1999. This scanner is $80 .. huh!? The software is why I gave it 4-Stars .. which is very good because I would buy a 4-Star scanner. I'm a graphics artist and photo enthusiast.
Summary: Setup was easy and it worked right out of the box. Have it connected to a Windows 7 PC using a very long USB cable (about 10') so that it stretches across the office. Have not figured out all the software that came with the scanner, but basic operation seems pretty straightforward at this point. Purchased this to scan old photos, and so far it's worked well. Scanned well over 100 photos, B&W and Color. About the only issue is that once in a while the scanner would stall.
Summary: I have an all-in-0ne printer/scanner that will not scan on my Apple mini. So I bought this dedicated scanner. It has worked well for me and makes very good images. I appreciate the PDF option.
Not perfect, but fine for casual document and photo scans.

Summary: So far, I've used this scanner on Win 7 x64 for scanning some color photos and for multi-page PDF scans of documents. I don't plan to use the scanner for anything else. The software interfaces well with the scanner out of the box. What I like best is that I don't have to keep moving between the computer and the scanner in between pages.
