Excerpt: This is a very good scanner for a fairly modest price. I needed a better scanner for musical OCR, and Epson is the name brand that others are compared to so I decided that an Epson scanner was my best bet. I have not been disappointed with the scanner's performance, but I knocked off a star for some other (relatively minor) issues: <br />1) The install drivers didn't work for me (iMac) and I had to download several drivers & applications and do several rounds of...
Summary: Other than being a little slow, we're very satisfied with this scanner. It was easy to set up & install and scans just as we hoped. We didn't even have to read any long directions. If you have a stack of photos to scan to a high quality, the wait is a little tiresome. I like its size and ease of use. It has already gotten a good workout as we had some projects waiting for its arrival.
Summary: I carefully followed the installation instructions as I had read reviews where that was a problem. I had no problems. I immediately scanned a document that needed to be sent out, also with no problems. It looks like a winner.
Summary: This scanner has been very helpful - I wish I had found a smaller one easier to carry, but this was the smallest and it served my purpose just doing scanning in various places. A carrying case would be nice. It is supposed to start when you press the start button. Sometimes it does. More often, I need to go to the scanner icon on the computer and start it there. Then it works fine. Also it does feel a little flimsy, but good for the price. So that's why the four stars.
Basically a very good scanner with a couple of minor issues (at least for me)

Summary: The scanner does a great job of scanning photos and works quickly and smoothly. The push-button option to create a PDF for a document scan is also convenient. The ability to scan multiple photos at once and let the scanner separate them as individual scans for filing makes converting boxes of old photos an easier task than it would otherwise be.
Excerpt: I originally had the V33 scanner for 1-1/2 years. Used it one day, then next day no longer worked. Called Epson and they said it needed a new LED bulb. Since the fix would cost about the price of a new scanner, I decided to get the new version. Hopefully this LED bulb lasts longer. I did purchase the 2 year Square Trade warranty with the new unit. Software on the mac is easy to set up and use.
