Summary: Could not get my computer mac OS X 10.7.5 to ever be able to communicate with the scanner. Worked on it for 2+ hours and am taking the scanner back to Staples tomorrow. Please remove any registration information that you have of me owning this scanner. Thanks.
Summary: This scanner is really disappointed! There are obvious vertigo digital stripes from bottom to top across the scans I got from the scanner. After trying different scanning modes(Auto, Home, Office and Professional) and testing on both PC and Mac, the problem has not been solved at all. I returned the first one and got the second one from Amazon. Unfortunately the second one also had the same problem. The support was useless as well.
Summary: Scanner does NOT work with Mac OS 10.6.x. All I get is a flashing orange light, and error messages on the computer. Epson support is useless - they sent me an email asking me to try the things I had already tried and which failed.
Summary: I tried using the included CD, then also uploaded an updated driver file directly from Epson. Neither works - in fact the one on the Epson site generates an error that it is not supported by the version of Windows. Back to Amazon it goes. Obviously it works for some people, but even with my 30+ years of professional computer experience, I can't get it installed on my Dell.
Summary: I purchased an Epson Perfection V37 scanner before 2 PM yesterday and now (12 hours later), I'm still trying to get it installed. I followed instructions but every time I attempt to scan, I immediately get error message: EEventManager Application has stopped working. The error message suggests checking for an online solution as it closes the program, but it does not open a URL. I have recorded the problem details but they're encoded so it's not helpful to me/user.
Summary: The scanner is perhaps ok. I am not fond of it, for one simple reason: my work system is a linux system (Ubuntu) and it comes with no linux support. I have at this point spent about an hour on the Ubuntu forums looking for ways to make it connect, and have found some hints, but none of them so far have worked for me.
Summary: I bought this scanner with high hopes. It didn't come with a manual, which is normal these days, however I feel a person should be able to download one and print it out if you want to. Tech support was of no help and neither was customer support. The manual is on their web page to view and you can print out the page you are looking at. Wow, that really helps-NOT! I will not be buying Epson products in the future. FYI-the tech support number isn't toll free.
Summary: I was excited to find a simple scanner...but when I installed it, I had to go through your co. to process the set up only to find that it was not compatible with my particular newer model MAC. I have to use it by taking several steps through the computer to make the scan do its job. most inconvenient!!
