Awesome Scanner with Convenient Multiple Photo Scanning Feature

Shel Gatto, Amazon
  • Summary: I bought this scanner about a year ago and I have to say I am impressed! I wanted something easy to use with some features but nothing too fancy - and something that would last. This model is wonderful and works nearly flawlessly for my purposes. I needed a scanner for general household use and to work on a massive photograph scanning project (we're talking around 2,000+ photographs scanned so far).

parts of the scanner software interface looks like the text is digitally zoomed

J. Carothers "Sub Human", Amazon
  • Summary: Just got the scanner today so not much time to test it out. What I have noticed is that the software included could use some work. There are no previews for picture scanning. The default is 300dpi and if you want something other than that you have to enter the dpi manually. Should at least be a selector for optical maximum. Also, parts of the scanner software interface looks like the text is digitally zoomed. Not very clear or professional looking.

Excellent scanner, simple setup, perfect for my home office.

Donna Hill, Amazon
15 December 2014
  • Summary: With the unexpected demise of my Epson RX 680 all-in-one, I decided I just do not print enough at home to warrant a printer or another all-in-one. I can live without a printer, but not a scanner. I was pretty happy with the scanning capabilities of the previous Epson product. Having used this scanner for a couple of days, I could not be happier. I am familiar with EpsonScan software and can customize it to my specifications. I clean-up, adjust images with Paint Shop Pro.

Epson Perfection V37 Flatbed Scanner - 4800 dpi Optical

djmriceice, Overstock
13 December 2014
  • Summary: This scanner works perfectly. It's fast and easy to use. The quality of the scans are great. I do a lot of paper stuff that requires copies to be sent via e-mail. So being able to scan to PDF format is a big plus. I am also photographer, I don't scan many pictures but the few I did have to scan, where amazingly clear.

Can't use!

Kathleen D. Steed, Amazon
6 December 2014
  • Summary: Can't use it. Was recommended by Epson rep to upgrade to this scanner to work with my Yosemite version for my Mac. After setting up & downloading program it did not work. After then reading requirements I realized my Mac version is not supported by this Epson scanner. Since I opened, set up & downloaded disc I cannot return so I am now stuck with this scanner & the old one that is now outdated. Not happy!

User Review

BobfromWinstonSalem, Walmart
4 December 2014
  • Summary: Have had the scanner about 2 weeks. It came in a box that looked pretty beat up. The scanner inside was fine, undamaged in a cradle of styrofoam. The scanner was easy to install, but you have to be available for some user input. At the end of the program installation, when you plug in the scanner, go slowly. There is some communication between scanner and computer, but no sign anything is happening.

Great home scanner

Ranger, B&H Photo
4 December 2014
  • Excerpt: I bought this scanner mainly for my home office and for scanning music scores. The scanner is quiet, fast and the quality of the scans are great. I like it because it is compatible with Linux. I use it with Linux as well as Windows 8.1 64-bit.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Excellent Software, Good Bit Depth, Good Resolution, Widely Compatible

not as easy as it seems

M. Sonntag, Amazon
29 November 2014
  • Summary: Scans good...however, we were used to a Visoneer One Touch, and so far haven't figured out how to configure the buttons. It's not as easy to use as our old one--viola, touch "copy"...and guess what? It copied! Not so with this one...so maybe my expectations were too high based on the ease of our old one, but I really wish our old one worked with our new computer!

I was in need of a good scanner to archive over 1

Wolfram Hentschel, Amazon
25 November 2014
  • Summary: I was in need of a good scanner to archive over 1,000 family pictures dating back to the 1940's. I have a 3 in one printer and tried to use that, but it was cumbersome and slow. This scanner is a dream come true. When it arrived I plugged it in and was ready to work. What is of the biggest help is that I can put 4 photographs on the scanner bed and it reads that there are 4 different pictures and created four different .jps for the photos.

Very good quality scans for a great price, pity about the software.

H, Amazon
20 November 2014
  • Summary: Works great but even with the very good response from their support I could not get their software to run on my Mac, one of the reasons I bought it. I do IT for a living and not only is it terribly click intensive, every part of the software failed to run. It is now running with the generic TWAIN driver.
