The Epson perfection V350 does support not only plain paper and documents, as well as photos, but also film and transparent scans, and its capabilities extend to sending scans as emails, as well as providing for scans to be turned to editable text.

The set-up was amazingly fast and easy with the accompanying instructions. My first scan was from a glossy postcard from my European vacation. I was amazed at the almost perfect rendering of color, contrast and resolution. Subsequent scans confirmed my initial joy at the outstanding results. The slides were also rendered amazingly accurately, but I felt that the scanning of the slides was very slow (but part of the problem might be that I had to use a slower USB port.)... Read more
