Previous questions about this product

  • Espon Perfection V300 Photo Compatible with Windows Vista ?

is this Epson Perfection V300 Photo scanner compatible with windows vista ? I've read reviews on some sites about scanners that have been described as compatible with windows vista and when bought and tested they give loads of trouble. I am hoping not to fall in that trap..

    Answered by buddykarl 2009-08-19:

No. So far, I have spent 18 days trying to install this scanner onto Vista Home Premium 32bit. It tries and sometimes looks like it installs properly, but when you go to use it, nope. Uninstalling and clearing registry then reinstalling per Epson's tech support instructions does not work. It can find the driver, but it can't install it, so even though Epson claims it is compatible with Vista, it is not.
