My old HP ScanJet 3570c scanner finally went bonkers so it was time for a replacement. There is no comparison between the two even when the HP was brand new. The Epson V300 produces color accurate and magnificently sharp scanned images. I've scanned old photos from the 70's and old brown newspaper clippings and the scanner has the ability to help minimize and remove dust/scratches and can restore the color. It really is pretty amazing. The LED light source allows for... Read more

Purchased this scanner from B & H Photo because of price. Great deal! Scanner is perfect for home use, although think I would buy a different one for business use. Color is teriffic, it is easy to use, [...] I would recommend this scanner to anyone looking for a good, uncomplicated, scanner. Read more

Got this for my Dad to scan in slides. It is a bit slow in high quality mode, but the results are seem worth it. My only complaints at this time are as follows: The included slide show software was not near as good as Movie Maker that comes with XP, but I was hopeing for something better. The auto mode scanning software did not seem to do color restoration. However the professional mode allowed this to be picked and that feature does an excellant job. Wish auto would... I've scanned over 500 old 35mm slides in the first week I've had it and it's performed perfectly. The software works great with Windows 7. You can't it beat for the price. Read more
