Stopped working after a year.

Sergio Lopez, Amazon
3 November 2011
  • Summary: My scanner stopped working a little after a year that I bought it, for no reason at all. I tried all of the recommended steps by Epson support but it didn't work. After going through 2 hours of phone support, they tried to say it was a Windows issue. I've upgraded my computer and the problem still persists. It must be a problem with the hardware.

Second thoughts

G. Stanfill, Amazon
6 November 2009
  • Summary: I've had this scanner for a couple of weeks and am pleased. Pretty much exactly what it claims to be, which is not as common these days as you might think. Pros: LED illumination, so no warm up (I don't scan all that often, so this is very helpful). Resident software has a small footprint and uses few computer resources. Image quality is good for a low end scanner and scan times are reasonable. Cons: None significant.

Good try, but

1 July 2009
  • Summary: The product claims sounded resonable and the price was attractive. Ordering on line, delivery, set up with the Mac all went well. My main purpose for the scanner was to capture an extensive collection of 35mm color slides. Thereafter I was to scan all the photo prints of my past. Using iPhoto editing the initial run of slides required only some tweeking of color and exposure.
