A low cost photo scanner that offers some great features for under one hundred dollars. Affords you the ability to scan both photo prints as well as 35mm film in high resolution, about 4800 DPI, and is remarkably fast in doing so.

Nearly two times as fast as some of the competitors in comparison tests at varying resolutions the V200’s claim to fame is that it will scan a 2x2 color print in under 30 seconds at 1200 DPI.

Its color reproducing is excellent offering both shadow and highlight details in tests.

The V200 also did an excellent job of reproducing color shades (including skin tones) and both shadow and highlight details in our test photos.

The V200 also includes some easy-to-use tools for image enhancement as well as for color restoration, backlight corrections and dust removing, and is well set up to correct or restore older images, including those whose color has been washed out.

It will batch scan 35mm, and can handle up to four slides or six frames of a film strip at one sitting.

With just four well placed buttons that offer scan, copy, email or PDF, the V200 also features a fully adjustable lid, which will open at 180 to permit you to scan large books or objects of a 3 dimensional nature.

Bundled software includes an image editor (ArcSoft PhotoImpression ) and Abbyy FineReader 6 which is capable of creating editable text from your scans.
