Summary: It's a basic scanner that is inexpensive and does the job. Resolution is good and scanning times are reasonable. This scanner is still ticking nine years later. I would definitely buy another Epson.
Pros: Inexpensive. Good build quality. Easy to use.
Summary: This is my first amazon review, but i felt compelled to write something as Epson has outdone itself. I've owned a 1200u epson for many years and it's been a workhorse, so when i saw this scanner specially designed for photos i decided to try it out.
Summary: After the cleaning people from a fire wrecked my HP5470, I decided to get yet another scanner. In reading many reviews for both HP and Epson I find that some are too critical of fine products like this one. The HP software was a little easier to use- but then I was used to it.
Summary: This is my 3 or 4th scanner and based on the review that I purchased it, it is the best of all that I have used. It outclassed Visioneer (from Office Max). No problems with the software, no nagging for registration on each re-installation, but I have not had to re-install.
Summary: After many **** scanners such as umax and micromax or whatever, this Epson has satisfied my desire for quality. its a bit noiser than the rest, but the thing just works flawlessly, and has yet to do the head bashing you see from other scanners.
Summary: I purchased the product 3 months ago and wanted to give it a healthy workout before I posted a review. I've since done over 3500 scans -- in which 3200 of them were from photos and the other 300 from negatives.
