It's an excellent scanner for my textile design work

patrick moriarty, Amazon
4 November 2014
  • Summary: Mac users should not panic. This scanner works perfectly well using your Mac's Image Capture function. Connect the scanner to your Mac with a USB cable. Open Finder, find Image Capture and click on it to open the application. Choose the Epson GT-15000 in the devices box. It's an excellent scanner for my textile design work. I don't have to fiddle around trying to join A4 scans any more that never quite line up. Big is beautiful!

Monster Scanner great for scanning any size music and artwork. SUPER FAST!

kenny.advocat, Ebay
8 April 2013
  • Summary: This is a monster of a scanner. Bigger and heavier than I though it would be with and automatic feed attachment attached. Pick this one up used and it looks practically unused. Scans super fast and works well with on Windows 7. This is more scanner than most people need. It even auto feeds up to A3 in Duplex! As good or better than most copy machine flatbed Scanners.

Epson GT 15000 Excellent

Robert LaBossiere, Amazon
23 August 2011
  • Summary: Purchased this scanner used and got a great deal online, I did have some issues installing the software on window 7 OS, it worked on one machine without issues, tried to use on another pc with same OS, but could never get the software to work, the speed is fantasic as well as the results, it has a large bed which is reason I purchased it to scan 11x14 items, additionally it's very fast, I recommend this scanner for purchase.

Great value for the money and wiser purchase for those with limited funds.

  • Summary: While not currently state of the art, it does a great job and at a few hundred dollars is much more affordable than the new Epson 20000 version at over a thousand. It does a great job and is simply to use. I love the ADF and know that it would have saved me a great deal of time in the past. A quality used item is hard to beat.

Epson GT 15000

jeremywhitten, Ebay
19 March 2011
  • Summary: I decided to buy this product based off of price, quality, and company name. To me Epson is probably the best when it comes to scanners and to be able to get my hand on a GT 15000 for the price I did was just fantastic. I'm an artist; so to be able to get a scanner of this size and quality is just great. The scanner has great resolution options, the bed is big enough for double to triple scans at a time and is just the artist dream.

  • Summary: Good scanner. It's light enough that I can store it anyway but big enough that I can scan everything I need to. The software that comes with it is very helpful.

Just what I needed

Richard G. Evans, Amazon
14 June 2008
  • Summary: The scanner is just what I needed for doing 11x17 scans. The only caution I would tell people is that the auto-document feeder is not included and costs over $1000.

Best 11x17 scanner for small office

V. Frazer, Amazon
7 June 2008
  • Summary: I bought this item for our small architectural office to do 11x17 scans. This is a great large format scanner. It comes with a watered down version of Adobe photoshop that is easy to learn and use. It also comes with Abbey Finereader which is also a plus. Several scans can be automatically converted to one pdf file. The scan options are also user friendly with default templates and custom options.

FANTASTIC AND EASY

Pittsburgh Gal "nutsaboutcookin", Amazon

  • Summary: Sent back a MicroTek scanner 9800 because it was crap and their tech support was worthless and bought this Epson. On the MicroTek my scans came out with blue backgrounds even after repeated calibrating. The Epson produces crisp, clear, perfect scans and no dreaded blue background to try to fix. It's a total gem! Easy set-up, no fuss, beautiful scans into jpg or pdf files. Love it and recommend it 100%.

Just Plug It In

John Forcucci "illustrator", Amazon
2 June 2008
  • Summary: I am an illustrator with a moderate amount of computer skills. I would rather spend more time painting than worrying about every little tweaking detail offered by many of the higher end scanners. It was simple to plug in, load the software and begin scanning in Photoshop. The first scan was an 11 X 17 black and white piece of inked comic art - handled readily by the GT5000. I was blown away by the speed and quality. Very good value - excellent results.
