Monster Scanner great for scanning any size music and artwork. SUPER FAST!
8 April 2013
Summary: This is a monster of a scanner. Bigger and heavier than I though it would be with and automatic feed attachment attached. Pick this one up used and it looks practically unused. Scans super fast and works well with on Windows 7. This is more scanner than most people need. It even auto feeds up to A3 in Duplex! As good or better than most copy machine flatbed Scanners.
Great value for the money and wiser purchase for those with limited funds.

Summary: While not currently state of the art, it does a great job and at a few hundred dollars is much more affordable than the new Epson 20000 version at over a thousand. It does a great job and is simply to use. I love the ADF and know that it would have saved me a great deal of time in the past. A quality used item is hard to beat.
Summary: I decided to buy this product based off of price, quality, and company name. To me Epson is probably the best when it comes to scanners and to be able to get my hand on a GT 15000 for the price I did was just fantastic. I'm an artist; so to be able to get a scanner of this size and quality is just great. The scanner has great resolution options, the bed is big enough for double to triple scans at a time and is just the artist dream.
Summary: Last week at work I was told by a member of the IT department that there was a load of hardware which was going to be disposed of as no one was using it. They asked if any of it was useful to me, so I went and had a look. Sitting in amongst the many, many leads etc there sat an A3 flatbed scanner. Working as I do as a print designer and photograph restorer I thought this might be useful.
Pros: Fast, great quality scans, lots of connectivity options including network setup,
Cons: It is a large item and needs quite a space to fit into, expensive.

Excerpt: "...were met comfortably by the Epson GT15000. I was a bit taken back by the shear size of the thing when it arrived, in its box and packaging it only just fits through the width of the average door frame! Having removed the scanner from its box we were left with a glorified piece of plastic, considerably smaller than the box it came in but of still fairly large proportions. The exact scanner dimensions are as follows: - Standard (w x d x h): 656 ...
Pros: Great resolution options, speed and ease of use
Excerpt: "...and without sacrificing image quality. The Epson GT-15000 can quickly accommodate virtually any scanning project. In addition, an optional network card is available, enabling busy workgroups to share a single scanner. Pros: Accurate Scans | Perfect for small buisnesses .
Summary: This A3 flatbed scanner was purchased to compliment an older Epson GT12000 Scanner. The initial setup was very straightforward, being both SCSI and USB, with the USB being the preferred method mainly for the convenience of being able to switch on the scanner without having to reboot the machine (which has to be done with SCSI if it wasn't on at bootup), and also not having to take the case off the PC to install a SCSI card.
Pros: Full A3 Flatbed Scanner, Very Fast
Cons: Price, Glass can get scratched, Heavy (13Kg)
