Better than the old CardScan I had. Worth the spftware upgrade, and it scans better also.

Summary: Got this to replace my old one (which was fine) to work with Windows 7. This one takes the cards better than the old one I had, and it seems to scan better. Haven't used it to import anything into Outlook, but it says it will do it.
Summary: Use this to keep track of all the business cards I get. It has great software to help keep businesses sorted, and you can add your own notes , and has a search capability, so easy to find scanned cards.
Summary: with the supplemental program SCAN210 (available online for a fee), this unit scans business cards with ease and a surprisingly good optical reader which discerns most information quite nicely. Like anything else, it takes a while to get used to it but, for what we paid and the purpose it serves, this is a very good product.
Summary: Bought the DYMO CardScan v9 with the ultimate goal of transferring my contact data into SalesForce. Was extremely impressed with CardScan's ability to, first of all, accurately scan and place name, dates, phone numbers, etc. in the correct data fields. I was even more impressed that the SalesForce software accurately imported the CardScan-created .txt file into the correct SalesForce data fields.
Summary: I am a traveling salesman and I love this scanner. I had hundreds of cards that I was sifting through not any more as the software is searchable by any search terms company, address, person, title etc. The recognition software works good for whit cards with traditional layouts and no logos. If you deal with clients with fancy cards, be prepared to write in much of the fields yourself. But otherwise works flawlessly!!
Summary: This is my second CardScan in the past 8 years. My old model finally died and i converted to a MAc a few years ago. This unit works well and OCR accuracy is pretty good. I strongly recommend not to use the software provided on the CD however. Get the latest version from their website to avoid Mountain Lion incompatibles and licensing issues. A simple fix but a must. Recommended.
Summary: This is fantasic, it saves me alot of time. My boss is a sales person and brings about 20 to 30 cards in a day from companys. I scan them and then make sure it read correctly (90%) of the time it does. Written cards or notes have the most issue and cards that are not your standard card have issues of putting name where company should go and small errors like that. This can work with outlook and bring all your contact over and then link them to the iphone so handy.
