Does it well...
18 February 2014
Summary: I've owned several scanners including the snapscan. This scanner has been the best so far in that it is portable and USB SW capable meaning that it can work without installing SW for basic scanning. The business card functionality is not top notch but I didnt buy it for that and consider that a bonus. It does work, but not as accurate as I would have liked it to.
Canon imageFORMULA P-215 Scan-tini Personal Document Scanner
14 November 2013
Summary: I love this little scanner! I was using a flat-bed scanner prior to purchasing this one and I can't tell you how happy I am with this Scan-tini!!! It's is uber-easy to use, takes up so little space and it's very well made and durable. I use mine only as a document scanner. If you are looking for a photo scanner I'd keep looking. I run a small office for a trucking company and everything we do has to have a paper trail.
Summary: Been buying these cannon portable scanners for some time now. This is the new generation of the P series, it is lightweight and very portable. Isn't ideal for intense scanning, but can still handle it if you do. The software bundled is also really great for making pdfs and emailing directly.
Summary: I bought the scanner as part of a larger attempt to go "paperless." Running it off a MacBook Pro and using the optional AC power cord (hard to find) and the carrying bag (highly recommended). Scans faster than either of my Epson 4-in-ones, and the ability to scan multiple pages as well as front-and-back into a single PDF are major pluses. Occasionally, you will need to steady an off-size document before the feeder grabs it.
Summary: Because of the $285 price tag and because I already have a Canon printer with a flatbed scanner, I debated about purchasing a second one. But, I am so glad did! I often scan documents for filing on my computer instead of keeping paper copies. Compared to my flatbed scanner, this one is fast, easy to use right out of the box, scans multiple pages and is hassle-free unlike my flatbed scanner. It has been well tested and never jams.
