Summary: This is an excellent device ... Much better than expected. It works well being powered from the laptop so I have not purchased the adaptor, which is an optional extra. I was very happy with the ease of setup, particularly the dupleximg function of it; insert double sided appear and it scans both sides without further adjustments. Overall, quite an intuitive device, bit more expensive that others units but this device provides so much.
Summary: I've been using this scanner for a couple of months and it has never failed. It is fast and easy to use. Basically, you connect the USB cable and go. This evening I accidentally dropped it onto my hardwood floor from about 3 feet. It still works! This is a solid device and the image quality is fantastic.
Summary: Going from a flatbed scanner to this is amazing. I scanned 29 pages first, then 40 and it fed them one by one as it's supposed to. The button is a little picky and doesn't start unless I push it just so. Normally I would give it only 4 stars, but I guess I'm just too excited about this gadget! I've scanned over 1700 pages since receiving it and some of them were very long.
Summary: I bought the scanner as part of a larger attempt to go "paperless." Running it off a MacBook Pro and using the optional AC power cord (hard to find) and the carrying bag (highly recommended). Scans faster than either of my Epson 4-in-ones, and the ability to scan multiple pages as well as front-and-back into a single PDF are major pluses. Occasionally, you will need to steady an off-size document before the feeder grabs it.
Summary: When I bought this scanner, I had some doubts that the prices was a little expensive. The price pays all the benefits that the scanner brings. If you are looking something simple and portable, this is the best choice and is really a bargain. The machine works well and the images are very good. Don't think two times you will reduce all paper from you desk.
Summary: Bought this a few weeks ago, and after getting things set up, am very impressed. One caution is that there is no AC adapter included, so if you have a PC/laptop with only USB 2.0, it will need 2 cables (one for power, one for data - both included). USB 3.0 only uses a single cable. Overall great machine so far.
