Great Portable Document Scanner
31 March 2014
Summary: This scanner performs really well, once you put a little effort into it. First off, what I was searching for was Evernote integration. This product claimed to deliver that but it was a little unclear as to how to make it work and there is not much information available about this process either.
Summary: I'm a researcher gun-for-hire and often have to go to law offices or libraries of great urban bureaucracies where I copy documents. I usually have to pay for these copies and then lug tons of paper back to my lair so I can rescan them. Then, all those docs go into the recycling. Bye, Trees.
Summary: Been buying these cannon portable scanners for some time now. This is the new generation of the P series, it is lightweight and very portable. Isn't ideal for intense scanning, but can still handle it if you do. The software bundled is also really great for making pdfs and emailing directly.
Summary: It does the work nice, scanning fast giving good quality results. The only con is that if you put more than a single paper there is a 30% chance that the feeder will pull more than a single paper at a time... All in all I will give it a grade of 85
BUYER BEWARE: Canon does not stand behind this product.

Summary: I bought this scanner for my Mac at home, got it set up, and it worked great. I decided to bring it to the office and use it on my Mac here instead, and realized I didn't have the CD that came with it anymore. No problem, right?
Summary: This things works great. I got it to organize a great deal of documents and to have a small sized scanner for when you're on the move. The business card feature works well, it uses USB 3 and does OCR (optical character recognition) as it scans which is great. 4 stars because of price.
Pros: Works great, has basic software needed built into a small flash memory storage.
Summary: This is a review of the Canon Scan-tini P-215. Note: Because Amazon allows me to edit reviews, I'll post my problems and later I'll update with the resolutions. Problem 1: I'm having intermittent connection problems with the provided USB data cable.
Summary: First scanner came with internal damage and was quickly replaced by Amazon. Second scanner is unable to scan more than one page at a time with a certain amount of fuss with each page. I presume it needs some kind of adjustment which I am at a loss to do.
Summary: If you are always scanning docs while traveling, this is a good investment. It does add a little more weight to the computer kit. The convenience of not having to search for a scanner is a plus.
Pros: Bought this to use while traveling around Afghanistan. Finding adequate equipment to perform your job is a real challenge. You have to take everything you need with you. This is the perfect size for travel to use with a laptop. The usb power means you don't have to have additional power sources. ...
Cons: Come on Cannon!, you couldn't put the AC adapter in the box! It's an option?! I knocked off one egg for the AC adapter. For the price that should have been included. Using two usb ports to power could be and issue for smaller ultra books. It does allow the use of one usb 3.0 port, if you have one...
