Summary: I bought this scanner because we are digitizing our receipts at the end of each month, and trying to clean up what we keep hard copies for. The feed through feature of this scanner is incredible. I can scan one item at a time but still have it all scan into the same document, which I unfortunately have to do sometimes because the scanner isn't *that* great at separating sheets before feeding them through.
Summary: Sorry, it took me so long to provide feedback. But this would mean that I can provide a more accurate feedback, right? First of all, I love this scanner. My coworkers keep asking where I got it. They also want to get one exactly like it is. This scanner looks so sleek and elegant. It also works perfectly. I can put 15 to 20 pages at one time with no problem. I have this for almost 3 years with no problem.
Summary: Upon setting up the scanner it's obvious Canon's engineers spent considerable time designing this device. The paper guides are simple yet functional and sophisticated. The scanner can pick up the colors yellow, green, red, blue, black and gray. I have used the scanner to scan gas station receipts and legal documents. As another reviewer wrote, for some types of paper you'll need to krinkle the leading edge of the paper, otherwise you might get double feeds.
Summary: I do a LOT of research before I buy ANYTHING! It pays off when the items are still up and running years and years later. This little machine is great! It stores in a cabinet on my computer desk. Out of sight, out of the way. Beautiful. I have used it to scan just about anything paper-based. It works quickly and quietly. The lack of an output tray is simply handled by placing it to face the length of the desk.
Summary: I always dread the software that comes with consumer appliances, but the software with this unit isn't bad. You can configure the one touch button to direct scans wherever you want them (a folder, email, an application, etc), and it integrates really well with Evernote which was a critical requirement for me. The unit itself takes little space when folded up, but is very efficient when deployed.
Summary: I absolutely love this little scanner. Small enough to have sitting on my work desk all the time and it works perfectly. I have scanned one page documents, as well as, several pages. With a large scan it may jam but I believe that is just my doing. It wasn't designed for that. My boss thought it would come in handy since I scan several items daily. She was absolutely correct. This would be a nice addition to your work desk or your home office.
Still going strong more than a year later and 1,000 scanned pages

Summary: Needed a light, portable scanner I could take with me to the office or when I work from home. I love the fact you really don't need a power supply. Just plug it into the USB port of my laptop and it goes. Great scans and very functional! It just can't scan hard plastic items like driver's licenses. Not much call for that anyway. More than a year later and it is still working great. I concur with PC Mag's Editor's Choice done recently on this scanner.
Summary: This portable scanner is compact yet full of features that make scanning available anywhere you can bring a laptop computer. 2 sided auto recognize scan, self aligning of images if the paper skews. works with different size paper feeding at the same time. Multiple feed of small stacks of paper saves time and effort. Get this scanner over all others... it is truly awesome.
Summary: OVERVIEW: I have been using the product for only two weeks, but have scanned over a thousand pages. I bought this unit primarily to scan large documents (i.e. notes from grad school classes, manuals, etc.), and so the duplex mode and ability to put a stack of papers in at a time were critical. It handles both of those well. CONCERNS: some of the images show notable skew/slant, even when fed straight.
Summary: I bought this scanner because I needed some that was portable. I use it with my laptop. I going overseas need some documents to be scanned. This scanner is ideal for this. In near future I purchase a portable printer by Canon. This is excellent product. At my work we uses other scanners by Canon.
