Summary: Sorry, it took me so long to provide feedback. But this would mean that I can provide a more accurate feedback, right? First of all, I love this scanner. My coworkers keep asking where I got it. They also want to get one exactly like it is. This scanner looks so sleek and elegant.
Summary: Upon setting up the scanner it's obvious Canon's engineers spent considerable time designing this device. The paper guides are simple yet functional and sophisticated. The scanner can pick up the colors yellow, green, red, blue, black and gray.
Summary: After owning my Canon for well over a year and 500+ documents later I would recommend it without hesitation. It's not perfect, it has froze a few times requiring a power on/off . Sometimes the paper gets askew but for the most part it works pretty dannn good.
Pros: I've owned this for over a year now and for the most part, I like it a lot. I've probably scanned well over 500 documents. It's really great keeping papers from accumulating on your desk.
Cons: Software a little clunky. Won't scan thick cards. Sometimes grabs 2 sheets instead of one.
Summary: I do a LOT of research before I buy ANYTHING! It pays off when the items are still up and running years and years later. This little machine is great! It stores in a cabinet on my computer desk. Out of sight, out of the way. Beautiful. I have used it to scan just about anything paper-based.
Summary: We've switched back to traditional flatbed scanners, another Canon actually. They don't take up much room, cost less than a third as much, and don't break so easily. I'm not down on the Canon brand at all, I still continue to recommend them for inkjets. This particular model is just a stinker.
Pros: While it works, it's handy.
Cons: We've had three of these and they all died after about one to two years. Two of the three never left the user's desk, the other was used for a travelling employee. For such an expensive scanner, you'd think it would last longer. I guess the warranty is one year for a reason - Canon expects you to...
Summary: I always dread the software that comes with consumer appliances, but the software with this unit isn't bad. You can configure the one touch button to direct scans wherever you want them (a folder, email, an application, etc), and it integrates really well with Evernote which was a critical...
Summary: I absolutely love this little scanner. Small enough to have sitting on my work desk all the time and it works perfectly. I have scanned one page documents, as well as, several pages. With a large scan it may jam but I believe that is just my doing. It wasn't designed for that.
