Great Scanner

Marilyn Barker, Amazon
30 June 2014
  • Summary: I like everything about this scanner with one exception. If there is a way to save your setup so that it automatically defaults to my preferences, I have not found how to do it.

Excellent hardware; difficult software

ctramp, Amazon
11 February 2013
  • Summary: I have used the DR-M160 for several weeks now and overall am very satisfied with my purchase. The scanner is compact and efficient, and its feeder is heartrendingly competent. After years of tears with a very expensive Hewlett-Packard flatbed scanner which regularly failed, this Canon machine is a...

Good Office machine

Terry Sheldon, Amazon
6 January 2013
  • Summary: I have a small office and I have 4 other Canon scanners and this one beats them all. It is very fast and it hasn't jammed or double fed any paper so far. I just ordered another one for my other office.

my 2 cents

Anonymous, Newegg
24 September 2012
  • Summary: I usually buy Fujitsu because the fi-6130Z and up come with a Full Version of Kofax VRS (4.5 or 5.0 depending on model). I really liked the specifications and had good luck with Canon DR-3060 and DR-3080CII scanners.
  • Pros: Scans Fast. Works with Kofax Capture 10. If you don't need Kofax VRS then it's a good buy.
  • Cons: Bundled Kofax VSR is actually VRS Basic 4.5. VRS Basic noted in Overview but not in the Details. This is a new model and I expected VRS 5.0 (OEM) not VRS Elite the full version. VRS Basic 4.5 does not enable Auto Rotation or Blank Page Removal. In my opinion the two best reasons to use VRS. Lucki...

Brilliant scanner but not natively Mac-compatible

TechMSS, Amazon
22 May 2012
  • Summary: This scanner is top notch, which is to be expected considering it costs as much as a good computer. Physically, the components seem very well made, I haven't had any jams at all, and it handles multiple sizes of paper - as long as it's less than about 11 inches, of course.

Fast scanner, but PDF software leaves a lot to be desired

S. Jentsch, Amazon
19 January 2012
  • Summary: This scanner is not your average, run-of-the-mill consumer grade device, and its performance shows. Unfortunately, the software that is bundled with it keeps it from being a five-star item. I installed the TWAIN device driver as well as the eCopy PDF Pro Office software.
