Swallows your Documents like a Shark

Dutchman "medical85", Amazon
6 April 2014
  • Summary: Everyone who watches this thing marvels. The sheets fly out the bottom at more than one a second (I'm guessing) and a pdf appears on your computer as soon as the input tray empties. Our unit had a subtle defect and the company fed-exed a replacement overnight. Really good software, too. Highly, highly recommended!

Bad Software

M. C. Mosley "book bug", Amazon
27 March 2014
  • Summary: The product works well. It fast, quiet,, and produces high quality images. But the software it comes with is primitive at best. It reminds me of the old DOS. I used a Futjtsu and could not tell which was better the software or the hardware. The scanner is a good hardware but with a poor software has a diminished value. With price, I expected better. So three star will do with A for the hardware and F for the software.

Top-notch scanner for color photos

TJM "TJM", Amazon
25 February 2014
  • Summary: I was tasked with scanning around 4000 family photos, so I bought the Canon DR-M160 after getting disappointing results with a $400 scanner called the Epson WorkForce Pro GT-S50. The Epson unit had trouble scanning a stack of photos of varying sizes, with some not being fed correctly, and the resultant scans would be quite skewed. Even worse, most of the leading edges of the photos would not be picked up at the imager and were cropped off.

product was good but shipping was ridiculous!

Judy Hironaga, Amazon
28 January 2014
  • Summary: I ordered the above product for around $55.00 - but I purchased it with the one click button which I will not do again. the product weighed about 1 pound and was shipped from California to my home in Honolulu and they charged me about $65.00 for shipping. I called them and complained and they said that was the charge. I sent a box of dishes as a xmas gift to maine and paid less than this.

Great for small to medium sized scanning needs

Steven M Paseornek, Amazon
17 January 2014
  • Summary: This scanner is perfect at your desk for small and medium sized scanning jobs. We tried it at one of our workstations and were so impressed that we purchased additional ones. It's an easy install and works with Canon's provided software and other pdf software (acrobat, for example). It also has 2 sided scanning capabilities.

Convenient and quick scanner

kecia, Amazon
11 January 2014
  • Summary: This scanner was a little pricey, but well worth it. It scans in black/white and color quickly and gives you the option of the format in which you would like to save your file. It also can scan the exact size of any picture without saving the white space. Love it!
