Pros: Excellent Scanner, quality Speed and easy setup. I've worked with the 3080c and 3080cii and this scanner is faster and lighter and is much more quiet. Of course it is brand new but there is a huge difference definitely worth the upgrade. We use these in the Credit Union to scan documents and signed receipts. This scanner is much lighter than the older 3080cs and so far the tray has stood up the 3080c had a week tray this seems to be a better Engineering job.
Cons: PRICE. This biggest con is the price of this unit. However it is comparable within any other retail outlet if not better here on New Egg so it's not New Egg's fault. But as they say you get what you pay for if you want an awesome scanner this is the one to buy.
Pros: This is my second review. I've been using this scanner daily for 5 months. I moved it from an old XP machine to a new Windows 7 build. Canon's website had the 64 bit drivers and upgraded software easily accessible. ALSO, there was a slight problem with the feed mechanism. I called Canon and spoke to a live person who had a new scanner to me 18 hours later (!!!) This contrasts sharply with customer support from certain other major office equipment manufacturers
Cons: My only compaint is with the feeder size and how much more it would have cost to be able to feed 500 sheets at a a time.
Pros: This has all the features of the more expensive models except a relatively small feeder (about 100 sheets). Comes with multiple software packages including Capio VRS and Adobe 9 basic. Easy setup. Hardware manual simple. Designed so user can replace rollers that wear the most. Weighs about 15 pounds. Speed is as specified.
Cons: has an "insubstantial" feel relative to older scanners. The included Capio software loads slowly and hogs memory (but you don't have to use it.) On a few runs, one of tyhe internal levers did not retract fully and ripped up the scanned document. Seems to have resolved itself
Summary: Comments about Canon imageFORMULA DR-6010C Sheetfed Scanner: One of the most abused machines in our office. Good thing its daily duty cycle is up to 7,500 scans a day. At scanning speed of 60ppm in colour, it doesn't only save time, it cuts energy consumption too as it can be automatically switched on and off in-line with the PC's it is connected to. User-friendly. A dependable scanner through and through.
