Summary: Scanner seems to be working OK, however you have to use Canon supplied USB A to B cable for it to work...I tried other A to B cables for scanner positioning purposes, but none worked except using A to B switch box.

Excerpt: This scanner is not compatible with the Mac OS operating system and there are no programs that will allow the Mac to use this scanner. Look elsewhere if you are considering buying this scanner.
Summary: This small, portable scanner outperforms the massive industrial-sized copier/printer/scanner at work. Amazing. I have used it to scan tens of thousands of pages and very rarely has it jammed. In addition to the way the hardware performs, the software included with it really makes it a high-performance scanner. I love that it one-pass scans double-sided documents and skips blank pages. I love that it turns upside down scans, right-side up.
Summary: SUMMARY: The best feature of this scanner is the combination of a feeder and the ability to place odd shapes, or thick items on the flatbed. By scanning everything: receipts, statements, product packaging (warranty info), documents etc., etc. I have eliminated 90% of the paper filing in our household, and can find most everything quickly. Read the entire review... it's not always easy to automate.
Summary: I was very motivated to receive and use for the first time my Canon scanner to reduce my big physical document clutter, but since I received it and struggle to set it up to try and make it work, it has not even given me the chance to scan one single document. I am trying to get support from somebody local at my town, contacted a support service, and they are supposed to come in and check it today. So let's see if it can be solved in any way... I HOPE!
Summary: Bought this to use with my Windows XP Pro computer & was very satisfied. Upgraded my computer to a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit & had problems with speed & document feeding. After updating drivers, lengthy contact with Canon support, much research, and loading on other computers I have available to determine functionality, my results are: Windows XP OS: 20 pgs. / 1 min. - minimal feed issues - highly recommended Windows 7 Home Prem. (64-bit) OS: 20 pgs. / 1.5 min.
